When do the Steelers tell Ben it’s time to step aside?




Yesterday he officially become a 'viral meme' for being old and exceptionally unathletic.

Face it. The guy is done.

I wish Ben retired after last season. He is here now though. If he can go he plays. He is the best QB on the roster by far.

You can call it whatever you want. I call those acquisitions a joke. Not a single one of those guys is or ever will be a viable starting NFL quarterback.

Quite easily: Reality.

Not one of those quarterbacks has shown the ability to be anything else but a backup in the NFL, or maybe the potential to be a mediocre-at-best starter. Dobbs? Lynch? Duck Freaking Hodges? Are you kidding me? Their play has led you to conclude something different?
 
If the Steelers were my dynasty fantasy team I'd say eff it and try to get as good a pick as I can, while dealing anything of value. Ben is done, thank you for all you were, but he's hot garbage at this point. Every year we struggle folks want Tomlin's head. I'm not a fan either, but they've had THREE coaches in my fifty plus years on the planet, he's not going anywhere.

Everyone needs to get ready for the mid 80's suck fest re visited, it's here. Unless the F/O knows what the Hell they're doing we'll be the expansion Browns for the next couple years. I call it like I see it, we are a **** team right now who got a couple lucky breaks or we're 0-3. It is what it is. I'll watch every game, but thank God for old age and perspective. If the folks calling the shots are alright with less than mediocre, I'm not getting wound up watching this embarrassment. The Bungles? At Home?
 
We now have the worst QB in the division after years of having the best. Unfortunately this will not change at Bens advanced age.
 
Mason is a clip board specialist. Whatever the cap hit is for next season, suck it up and move on from ALL of them. We have NO viable QB's on our roster right now. None. Ben gave us a decade plus, but to say he's done would be like saying water is wet. He's done/done. Only a homer, blind fan doesn't see it, and it's not just this season.

No, Rudolph is not a viable starting NFL quarterback. He's a viable backup who can come in and win a few games. Just like Landry Jones was.
