When do the Steelers tell Ben it’s time to step aside?

Fan,while I am not going to disagree with the OLine’s **** play. I challenge everyone to go back and look at the film for the last 2 games. Anytime the O got within scoring distance the line gave Ben time. Go look. Not saying they were perfect, but he had time. Joe Burrow got sacked 10 times before today’s game. QB’s get pressure. It’s what you do with it. To me,any chance of Winning at all left on Ben’s absolutely brutal int,in which he had all the time in the world. And then missing DJ on a wide, wide open TD,once again with all the time in the world. It’s not all on the OLine.
Which is why I mentioned the receivers not getting it done and Ben being a huge part of the problem as well.

The OL sucks a dog's dick, Ben is not mobile, the WR's are not getting separation so Ben holds the ball.

Gee, I wonder where this is likely to wind up?
The lack of velocity on Ben’s ball as well. The receivers are out running the pass or being put in bad positions to be lit up as a result.

I thank Ben for the success he brought the organization. It’s time to hang them up however not just due to lack of performance but also for health when football is done. The dude has a family he should enjoy. He doesn’t owe me anything more as a fan.

I’ve lived through the late 90’s. I can endure some bad years for awhile

No, it’s not all on the oline, but Claypool dropped how many today? Every other Harris catch was followed by a drop, Ebron dropped a god damn touchdown, Washington dropped two, and even Muth had a big drop. If Ben doesn’t make a **** throw, the receiver drops the mother ****** ALL THE TIME. It doesn’t matter which one, they all fucjing drop ****, a year after leading the god damn league in dropped passes. I don’t think anyone is being abused, physically, more than Ben or Najee on this team.

I bleed "black & yellow" and was born a Steeler. Having said that I love my team and "Big Ben", but it is time for him to retire. If you look at the quarterbacks in our division they are young and mobile. That is how BB used to be. Many people say he is a "selfish guy". I used to not think that ,but his lack of leadership and knowing when he is becoming a hinderance to the team speaks "selfish". If he really cared about the team...however his "backup" is worse then Ben on a bad day. I can't believe that the "powers that be" have not been looking.. or even drafting a quarterback....we are in for a long season and an even longer rebuilding period...even still 4ever STEELERS!

1. OK Whiz.
2. Ben is NOT retiring during the season. Y'all can stop with that stupidity.
3. Let's see how mobile those QBs are in 3, 4 or more years. The really good mobile QBs eventually come to realize that all that running takes a toll that is better suited for RBs. They then limit their running to "when necessary". Ben is still mobile enough to climb the pocket (if the line would give him one).
4. Whether Ben plays or not is not Ben's decision. That's up to the coaches. I assume that since he's still starting, they figure he gives us the best chance to win. He does, however, have to play better in order for this team to even sniff a win.
5. If his backup is worse than Ben on a bad day, why would it be selfish for Ben to keep playing and wouldn't his back up be more of a hindrance than Ben? I mean, he's worse than Ben on a bad day.
6. Literally drafted Landry Jones, Josh Dobbs and Mason Rudolph then brought in Paxson Lynch, Duck Hodges and Dwayne Haskins. I call that drafting and looking for QBs.

Well, for being born a STEELERS Fan you should know the difference between a ******* song hack and what a true STEELERS Fan would bleed. It's BLACK & GOLD, you know...... the official team colors !!!

Lack of leadership? Selfishness ? Hmmmmm

Welcome to the board, you'll fit in nicely

Did not imply that he should retire in this season..I mean after this season...
They are more mobile then Ben is in this part of his career. today..
I agree that the coaches choose who will play.. Ben can choose not to play as well..
Well if they were looking what did they find??? Garbage. and oh yeah I agree the "new OL" needs to get it together..no play offs this year..all the teams in our division have improved..and what did we do...?? absolutely nothing...barring all of the injuries still not gonna make playoffs....
and as far as coaching goes...they ALL need to go too..

Steelers back in the 70's always been black and yellow...the color was interpreted as gold for those who do not know their colors.
******* troll

no one ever called the Steelers black and yellow until that song came out and he tried to make a buck saying it was a Steeler son. the first video showed him singing about a car

only ******* trolls try this lame bullshit

Oh drinking iron city beer? and you call me delusional...that is not even beer

IRON City Beer has more fanfair than you ever will. There is so much history involved with IRON City beer in reference to the STEELRS that had you known anything you'd be hesitant to mock a great association with the team you are a "life-time" fan of..........................

thanks again PoPs and continue trolling

Wtf does that mean. Is it a lie?
Your response was a classic "Coach" response. Just saying.

As far as Ben goes. We as a team were going to commit to running the ball more. I remember seeing Harris having 11 carries at some point in the first half. He ended up with......14 carries. Ben threw 58 times and was sacked 4 times.

You continue to miss the point. My point is why was he brought back and remortgaged for another 10 million dead cap next season for this. What is yours?
