Who's cut on Tuesday to make room for Bryant?

Well Nix and Johnson must be pretty important on Special teams. Cause they go I formation about once in never. So it is cut a fullback who never plays fullback or cut a rb/ WR who never plays either.

Archer. 3 returns. Averaging 31yds per return. He's making the roster, and I expect him to get more opportunities as the temperature drops.

Yes Nix made a big play last nite on a return. Huge.

Todman is the most likely choice as of right now.

If Ross Ventrone's hamstring injury is somewhat bad then he goes to IR. I don't think Will Allen is badly injured - he's was walking around on the sideline at the end of the game. I'd say either Ventrone or Jesse James --- while James might be a nice developmental player, he adds nothing to the team this year. Don't forget that 99% of NFL decision makers only give a **** about this year.

Dri Archer is actually looking like he could break one at some point.

Jesse James isn't going anywhere, we aren't going to roll with just TWO TE's on the roster.

I think Dri had his best game yesterday so he won't go (yet) but Todman looks like he is on his way to Waiverland.

Lets make a case, shall we....

we have a second year player who has been active for 17 regular season games and 1 postseason game.
He has 11 total carries in that time for a whopping 39 yards
He has 10 catches in that same time... for 38 yards...
in those 18 games he has contributed 4.2 yards of offense PER GAME

He also returns kicks, well kickoffs at least.... he only has one punt return for 2 yards
on kickoffs in 18 games as the primary kickoff returner, he has a grand total of 13 kickoff returns. His longest before last night was 30 yards, which was in the OT game this year. he averages 21.2 yards per return...

bear in mind that the majority of his returns start in the end zone, and that taking a knee gets you to the 20 automatically, and that would basically be his average if he hadnt broken that one 32 yarder...

So basically 4 yards of offense and a couple plays where we gained 12 more yards than had we taken a knee in over a years worth of games and who has seen a good amount of playing time...

As for the rest of special teams... he has zero tackles or assists in two years... which tells you all you need to know about his overall value...

Anyone care to guess the bum's name?

When? I saw 2 returns that he barely got past the 20. Did he break a 3rd to give him a 31 yard average or do they count him being 8 yards back in the endzone as part of that stat?

Another person willing to devalue a KR position as that position becomes more valuable each and every week. In cold weather, KRs are difference makers. Don't believe me? Check out Germain Lewis' stats for the Ravens in 2000. Dude was their best field position threat, putting Stover in FG range and flipping the field for that Defense. He was the catalyst down the stretch as they went on the win streak to make the playoffs as a WC.

Dri averaged 31 yards on 2 KRs yesterday and had a 31 yarder the week before in OT the previous week. I'd say the arrow is starting to point up here.

I'm starting to lean toward Jessie James being cut. At least Todman, Archer, and Nix are getting snaps and hats.

The include EZ yardage on returns (which I think is terrible), but there you go.

Agreed, Archer looks like a different runner (more decisive) these past couple games. A big return can make the difference when you are playing your backup QB and the offense is just not going to string together a bunch of long drives.

Which player has a chance to help us win our next game: Archer or James?

But this is moot if Ventrone is hurt badly...

Archer, Todman, Nix, Thomas (either, haha I know they won't cut shark).

It'll be Todman prob

I would guess Todman after his bonehead special teams play. Before that I would have guessed Chickillo.

Nix played well on ST. Don't think he's going anywhere. Will guess Todman.

I'm not the only one who saw that Nix played an awful lot on offense last night, am I? All I'm reading is that Nix plays special teams. The dude is our fullback now and will probably continue to sees snaps on offense while Ben is on the shelf.

I dont see archer as a big returner because he has never ever had a big return... a few 30 yarders isnt a great thing. thats the equivalent of a ten yard play. he has had no impact on offense, doesnt even play special team defense these days, and is 14th in the NFL in kickoff return averages... that is mediocre... the team would be better off with a real position player. the majority of kickoffs are not returnable anyhow these days... its a worthless position

Toddman sucks. Cut his *** and move on. Nix is a hell of a blocker (I don't think I've ever seen that guy get moved back on a block) and Archer did well enough to get more time, Chickillo played a damn good game last night, no way is he going anywhere.

Will also add that Nix is a big son of a *****. We have no use for Todman with Bell back now. Nix on the other hand as you mentioned is getting reps on offense. He's a guy you keep around.

Anyone that thinks Nix is getting cut is high. They had him in over Johnson on the most important play of the game last night. Johnson hardly played.
