With patience can Fields become the next Lamar?

I saw that but also have read reports saying both the Steelers would and would not sign Wilson. There really isn't much middle ground. Negotiations may have simply been getting an asking price from Wilson. Whether you want him back or not, options are slim and keeping doors open is probably smart.
Bear in mind, many "reports" are just speculative thought bubbles by the author published for the sole purpose of getting clicks to support whatever revenue generating model they use.

I think an article that has quotes from a named Steelers source such as Wilson, trump's anything without any concrete basis other than the writer's thoughts or unnamed sources.

Dulac is also a mouthpiece for the Steelers, especially immediately after the season ends so I put some merit on that.

at this point, russ is the better qb but i don't think he's worth what his price tag will be. i'd shore up the oline, get another wr, a good stable of rbs and see what fields has. dude is still only 25. really need to shore up the oline and i'm also talking about depth. not sure what happens with najee, but he prolly won't be worth the pricetag. if he is, i'm all about bringing him back as long as we keep warren and add another. kyle allen is fine for a backup qb.

I’d say Najee is going to generate between 8 and 10mil per season 4/yr
