Wk 10 Steelers vs Washington Dumb Names Gameday Thread

Saw what exact play? There's only so many punt formations. It's not about watching film. It's about seeing the jammer run in to help with punt block and the up man noticing the gunner was left wide open. You guys act like this is rocket science.
Exactly....it's not rocket science. That play should never be called with that field position and the game situation. That should be understood before training camp. Bad coaching.

Absolutely...if you have a player wide open with no one within 10 yards of them. You guys are arguing based upon hindsight. It wasn't an egregious play call by any means.
If the head coach gives his special teams coach or punter the option to audible to a fake punt from any field position and distance to 1st down that head coach deserves the blame.

Plus, Tomlin is a notorious control freak and micromanager of his assistants, no sane person who follows this team believes Tomlin didn’t have his hands on that call

Obviously a dumb decision to punt. Washington drove down the field and took the lead leaving no time left for the Steelers.
Good thing Tomlin called a TO for them.

is sutton playing?man if I was just reading this thread and not watching game I would think it was 50-0 skins.

All I have to say is dumbest spot/time for a fake punt ever and Joey Porter get your head out of your ***.

Are you ******* stupid? Three penalties on your stupidity in the first half.

That's a bullshit Pass Interference call on Porter. McLaurin was already falling down before Porter made contact.
Dude cheats so much
Soon he’ll never get any benefit of the doubt
Gets away with several a game
Can’t get mad when they call a questionable one

This isnt true. You have to put limitations on those audibles... if its inside the 20 and the pass is going to be more than 10 yards you never run that in the first quarter.
You are having a non qb throw to a non wr...

That is bad coaching. It was a horrible risk.

It was an incomplete pass, and had already stopped the clock
I was talking about his 1st TO when the ball was around 37ish yard line with around 1 minute and 20 seconds left.

Agree to disagree. I'm not going to kill my players or coach on a play that's has a large probability of working. You can't get more wide open then he was. Everything worked out for them on that play accept the actual catching of the ball. You want Tomlin to run out there and catch the ball too?

Exactly. If it's a check with me situation, then the call was idiotic. If this was never discussed or put in ink before the season even started...equally idiotic. Especially after 17 years of doing the job.

Still don't understand Tomlin's decision to again win the toss and take the kickoff. He's done it twice this year and they went 3 and out both times. They were very conservative on the 3 downs today. I can't think of another coach in any games I've watched this year who didn't defer until the 2nd half. Now down 17-14 and the Redskins (no, I will not give into wokeness and call them something different) get the kickoff to start the 2nd half. Not good at all.
