Pierre was wide open and had the first down if he just makes the most basic of plays. I wouldn't have called it with the defense, but the play call itself worked. The player failed.

Only because it didn't work. Pretty much a personnel issue....would have worked perfectly i think if someone like Skronek was out there...if you're going to try something like that have two receivers as your gunners.. players who have experience catching a lot of balls at least.
