I've always asked myself, "Self, why do those who would have nothing to do with football, who think it's nothing but a blood sport played by overly-violent man-boys exuding high levels of toxic masculinity, even give a rat's *** what goes on in the football world?" Then Self replies, "I know, right??? Don't they have tennis or synchronized swimming to occupy their time?"

I see what you did there.

The problem is, the networks that hire these guys eventually succumb to the extremely minor woke element for fear that the bad PR will lead to a drop in ratings, social media boycotts, etc. Aikman et. al. then have to go on and "apologize" & all or lose their jobs. Well, newsflash: these woke mobs will be obsessed with some new "offensive" event in a month. And as I alluded to above, these pansy-assed cupcakes wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a Tight End and a...... Oh, never mind.

Yeah, wouldn't it be refreshing for Aikman to come out and call these panty wearing ******* out! Then tell them to go **** themselves, turn to the brass at the network and call them out for catering to these little ******* and if they want to fire him, go right ahead!

I don't know if I'd call it a fact, but I'd be willing to wager that a majority of Americans just want to be able to live their lives, love their families, and support their country without all the bullshit that's flying around nowadays.
OH! And watch football without 50 million commercial breaks and flags flying when a player so much as looks at a QB the wrong way. That would be nice.

I don’t care about the damn lexus, Mercedes I cannot afford this holiday, the stupid amazon prime deals, pepsi this, at&t - Lily is cute.
 
He should have said "pantsuits" instead...now that would have really fired them up. But I commend Aikman for saying aloud what most of us football fans have been thinking for years. He's 100% correct.
 
I understand that Aikman is in a position where he is heard by more than just white males watching football, so he has to watch what he says.

As well it should. Was anyone forced to participate? Look, I get it, people should respect one another, but we now live in a society where speech is being suppressed because a small, but very vocal segment of the population fain offense for others, often for political or financial gain. It's a dangerous path we're on when words are weaponized.
 
The comment has been around for years. I'm not offended by it, I don't particularly care if someone else is. If a friend of mine asked me not to say it around them, I wouldn't. I don't bother to get offended that others get offended by something. It does, however, amaze me that the "snowflake, needs a safe space" yelling crowd has found so much to be offended by, when others are offended. Like, if you really believe the whole "suck it up, buttercup" when someone says something someone else doesn't agree with, well, isn't it your job to "suck it up" when they say they are offended by it, when that's a stand YOU disagree with?

Anyway, I think Troy is a pretty good commentator, and I don't think there was any ill intent behind what he said, but that's just my take on it.

I agree! I wish we could get back to the days when it was acceptable to have differences of opinion on any matter without being brutalized and ridiculed by these lunatics. It’s ok to agree to disagree and have a different view of things.
