Where does he go next, he obviously wants to coach still.

Not surprising really.

He won't go to any rebuilding team i think, he needs a top QB to be successful and he failed miserably in trying to find the new franchise qb in cheatriots land

He’s only a season or two away from breaking Don Shula’s record for wins.
Don Shula called him “Belicheat” on TV once and not long after that Don wasn’t on TV any more.

It was reported this would happen during the middle of the season so it was just a matter of time. They weren’t going to do what the Falcons did to Arthur Smith.

I think Schefter mentioned the Falcons as a potential destination. I would assume the Chargers, but I am not sure if they would be willing to pay for him.

I think Belichick, Vrabel and Carroll are all vastly better coaches than Tomlin. They are all gone and Tomlin will get another contract.
Belechick for sure. Not Vrabel or Carroll. Carroll and Tomlin are the same guy except for pigmentation. As much as I like Vrabel, he doesn't have the body of evidence Tomlin has.

And the shades.

Yeah...I had to laugh at Carroll is better. No disrespect to Sask, but I work with the only Seahawks fan outside of Washington State. For years he sounds pretty much exactly like every Steeler fan here. Oh, the griping and moaning. But it goes to show that if you don't follow every move of a team, your perspective is different. Hence Tomlin's reputation other places.

Big difference is, Tomlin inherited a SB team and Carroll built one. Tomlin has shown no ability to build anything more than a 10 win, one and done team. Carroll has had less time and has more recently won a SB and went in back to back seasons, being one more thought out call from repeating and he’s done already.

I think Vrabel and Carroll are better as well. Vrabel has done pretty well with less talent. Seattle has been pretty consistent. Wilson tailed off his last couple years and Geno has been up and down and he also missed a few have this year.

I like the way Vrabel coaches better. He played in the NFL and is off Belichik tree. In my opinion in his time in the NFL as a head coach he has gotten a lot closer to where I want this team to be. He doesn't have the same body of work because his owner doesn't have infinite patience for mediocrity.
As far as Carroll their outcomes are probably pretty much lock step. However I watch the Seahawks with sone level of interest. Their guys often get coached up and improve with better assistant coaches.

Somewhat crazy to think the 6 time SB winning coach went before the one time winning coach in this instance. Both Belly and that certain one SB winner relied heavily on hall of fame QBs and had nothing to give without one.

I do think, for the most part, the long tenured coach thing is going to be gone (at least for awhile). Winning costs money. Losing costs more. Owners like money. There is no longer time to wait. What can you do for me now IS the mantra.

Watching them get the Steelers into the playoffs you could see he doesn't sit back trying to prevent big plays at all costs. He tries to dictate the game to the opponent. Tomlin's way works ok with equal or lesser talent but would never fly against a superior Q.
