My direct tv is getting shut off Monday . I'm looking forward to cable with more channels for less money. I'll watch the games for free so **** them for not wanting to lower my bill.

Killed DTV. Happy with my computer and HDTV over the air antenna on my roof.

Eat a dick Xfinity/Dish/DTV/Fios

I love my dtv and sunday ticket but admit it is a ton of money. My bill use to be around 170, so I called them and complained and got nowhere. I asked to speak to someone who could tell me when my contract was up and they transferred me. When the person got on she asked what the problem was and I told her I am tired of paying so much she asked what I wanted to pay and told her I wanted it under 100 without getting the basic channels. She came back on and now I pay 98 and I get just about everything including some movie channels.
The sunday ticket for me is not just about the Steelers, when they are not on I want to watch games other then the Giants/Jets/Bills. Plus being a big fantasy guy and throwing a few bucks on games I like to watch a lot of the non-televised games. I am not teck savy and am old school, I like to sit on the couch with a few cold ones and flick from game to game.

When the. 1 pm game goes over go to the game mix channel...its small but the 4pm game is tbere.

When they bring back a product worthy of money i'll get it, until then they can **** off with that arm tackling group hug lets have a billion yards passing a game horseshit ripoff. Whatever game comes on regular tv is the game i will see. If it's that cupcake bullshit i saw last year then so be it. I will spend Sundays fishing and going to the beach. I'll read the scores and that's that.

If you are paying for the Ticket you're crazy... I get the ticket every year for free or better than free... Two years ago I got $1200 taken off my bills over a two year period if I kept the ticket.. So it cost me -$900 to get the ticket, then last year my total cost for the ticket was $26

Well then share you secret instead of calling all us crazy........lol!

This is what I do but it pisses me off that I pay for the ticket but yet they don't cover the games cause the other games goes over and they black out the regular channel.

To be fair, I don't think that's DTV's fault, that's some league bullshit that they can't cut to the 4pm games until the 1pm games are all over.

Commonly known as the Heidi Rule....... Anyone remember that scinerio?

Your right it is all to do with the nfl and the networks for sure.

Sunday ticket has never been a great deal.

But, it's great to have,

Dumped it after the NFL decided it didn't want the Steelers to hit anyone anymore. Won't give the NFL a dime.

Jets game national television, minutes to go and the jets are behind. In this era teams do not kneel down they run the ball. the game is no longer televised and the movie Heidi starts. Herm Edwards if I recall recovers a fumble and runs it back for a touchdown or gets them close and the Jets score and win the game. That is an old guys memory and may not be as accurate as I like.

I am going to call DirecTV and threaten to cancel the Ticket this year. And this time I will mean it. I'm going to tell them I just can't afford it. My bill is over $100 every month even without the Ticket charge and I don't have any premium channels. It's highway robbery. They'll either offer me a better deal or lose a Ticket customer.

I just dropped all the premium channels last month. a hundred seventy five bucks a month is ******* crazy, the I have another hundred twenty five a month to Andy cable. three hundred plus a month for tv and internet is ******* nutz, then I got another four fifty for ******* cell phones. no wonder I'm broke most of the time.

Lol, I am in the same boat with you. Not sure this will help but it worked for me, call them and talk to them about your bill and you will get no where so ask to speak to someone about when your contract is up. When that person comes on they will ask what is wrong and just tell them you have been a good customer but you just can't afford it anymore. They will ask what you want to pay I told them I wanted to keep it under $100 so they looked at what I had and I now have the total choice ultimate package which comes with mostly everything and my total bill with all the other bs they charge ya comes to $98. Worth a try to save a few bucks......

In our house there are four Steelers fans and a Redskins fan living in Philadelphia. I will never drop Sunday ticket. Football is one of the few things we look forward to watching.

We've had a much better experience with the signal here than we did in Pittsburgh. Probably lost it no more times than we used to lose our Comcast signal for no apparent reason. I think it's all about the tech installing and locating the dish properly.

I am thinking about dropping a lot of the premium channels tough. We rarely watch most of them. It's friggin ridiculous what we pay. But they have them packaged so that in order to drop 10 channels you never watch, you also have to drop the one you do watch. It's annoying.

Herm Edwards played for the Eagles. His fumble return was against the Giants in the closing seconds. You are getting your games mixed up. LOL

I've had Direct TV for three years now, and this will be the third year in a row that I'm getting it for free! First year was free of course, just for switching to DTV. Last year we had two boxes go out and then they screwed something up with our billing, so we complained and they offered us the ticket for free. Getting it this year for free still has me shaking my head and laughing. Here's how it went down. First I have to state that my hearing sucks. Well, a couple of weeks ago we had two boxes go out. So we called and they would only credit us for the monthly charge for the two boxes and nothing more, since our main box did not go out. Then on the following Sunday evening I had a pretty good drunk going on, and had dvr'd the Nascar race. I went to watch it and it said it had been cancelled by the customer. We didn't cancel it and I was pissed. So I figured I'd use that along with the recent boxes going out as leverage to get the ticket. So I called up and the csr said they couldn't do the sunday ticket free. I said let speak to your manager. Manager wouldn't do it either, so I'm getting more pissed, so I get the supervisor on the phone. She wasn't friendly at all, and wouldn't budge. I threatened to switch to dish tv, and apparently she must have asked if I wanted to cancel DTV. I must not have heard her and said yes, because she asked me if I knew the equipment return policy. I said yes, and hung up. The next morning we wake up, and no tv, ooops. So my girl calls them and explains to the csr what happened truthfully and that I can't hear and can we get it turned back on. She said yes, and then she asks my girl if we would like the Sunday ticket for free, because we are a new customer LMAO! So we were cancelled for a matter of 8 or so hours and we get the sunday ticket, and our premium channels package price got reduced down to a new customers package as well. The csr also told my girl to make sure we cancel the ticket before the super bowl, so we will be considered a new customer and get it again free next year lol!!! True story, I kid you not!

oh great... browns on nfln steelers at midnight.
******* christ.
anyone else with an online live feed for tonight's game?

Guys it's $14.99 for the entire preseason on nfl.com when you put in the promo code directv. That's $3.50 a game and can you watch replays of the game as many times as you want. Just pay it...that's peanuts. As for the regular season, I have not paid for the Ticket in 6 years, no joke. Every August I call and tell them I have been a customer for long time (18 years this year) and I have a real problem with a new customer getting the ticket for free and I want to cancel my service. You have to immediately ask for customer retention to make it happen and sometimes it is a little more challenging but in the end it has been free every time. Good luck.

I do the nfl.com for preseason games too. Cheap price and not only can you see the steelers live, but you can also see any of the other games that were played. I like that aspect for preparing for fantasy football drafts.
