WTF are we doing?

And that is fair. But in those 5 years from 2014-2018 they had a great offense. They were as good an offense as anyone in the league. It's fair to remember that game in 2013, but should we discount those 5 years? What I am objecting to is the idea that Ben could have done more with an offensive minded coach, as if Tomlin was always anti-offense. He wasn't, and those years show it.

I think three of the years with such a high touted O should have yielded better results. I give them a push to the two years they won playoff games.

I’m honestly surprised that we didn’t make a play for Kenny Pickett before the Panthers snatched him up. Sounds like something we would have done. Also, wouldn’t be surprised if Omar Con tried and failed.

It should have. However, in 2014, they lost Leveon Bell for the playoffs and had no threat from the backfield. In 2015, they had no Bell, and Ben got hurt against Cincy and played hurt, and Brown was out against the Broncos. In 2016 Bell was dominate...a great running game is good offense too, isn't it? Then he was lost again in the Patriots game. When they had everyone together to put up 42, the defense couldn't stop an offense led by Blake Bortles. You know all these facts, and because they are facts, they don't really support the idea that Tomlin was anti-offense.

Again, no one is letting Tomlin off the hook. To me the biggest problem in those years is he couldn't develop a reliable defense.
