XFL going to make another appearance in 2020

Might I suggest to Mr. McMahon the following.

1 ) Refs will be fined for obvious blown calls up to 25% of their game check. I think most here would like that.

2 ) Kick the ball off 5 yards back from where the NFL does. Fans like returns.

3 ) Limit the roster to 40 players, with the league minimum being $40,000 with a hard salary cap of 3 million per team. Make sure each owner commits to at least two seasons, with cash reserves. Share all TV and stadium gate money, but allow each owner 100% cut on selling their own merchandise.

4 ) Allow fans to tune in to short ranged broadcast ( app on a smart device for season ticket holders ) to hear a delayed half time speech in-between the 3rd and 4th quarter, and critical coaching calls on 3rd and 4th down after the play is over, bleeping out the terminology of the play, such as Red 22 sweep on 3. I'd find this interesting.

5 ) Allow one receiver to get a running start...like the CFL does. This will help the offense.

6 ) A 10 game season with the best four making the playoffs.

7 ) Red Zones for the fans who want to enjoy the game hooters style inside the stadiums. You're teams getting blow out, okay stick around for a while. Or start the day here for lunch,

8 ) Bring back 0 and 00 to be different. The NFL banned these numbers. Also put in a rule that all players must stand for the national anthem.

9 ) a 40 second clock...a bit fast than the NFL.

10 ) A fans vote on line for players of the game. Bonus to be paid after the game.

NFL CBA runs out 2021. That could be a great time to launch!

Go back to NFL catch/coverage rules pre-1999 season.

Absolutely no instant replay review.

Sitting/kneeling during Nation Anthem permanent banishment from league.

Announcers are one fan from each team in same room with both start drinking one hour before gametime.

Just play football, no REPLAY, have decent referees, and stand respectfully for the National Anthem. That would definitely give the NFL a run for its money.

Great idea but the time has passed for a new pro football league to succeed. I think the big one will be on life support in 10 years because of the CTE thing.

Vince's interview was pretty impressive. I'm good with this if they get a decent product for the offseason. I was a huge fan of Big East basketball and now that it's gone, regular season college basketball isn't the same. Hockey has trained me that the regular season doesn't matter, so I don't watch that like I used to either.

As long as they can hit and tackle again. You know like the old days when yards had to be earned.

If the XFL focuses on this. They may dethrone the NFL.
That's if the NFL's current trend stays put

College football is where it's at for the time being

For all the complaining about the NFL, there are a ton of great games that go down to the final minutes each week. Lately, we're lucky to get a small handful of quality college games given how many are televised every week. Not to mention college probably has more replay reviews than the NFL.

1) Simplify rule book. Let players play. Keep the refs out of the decision making of the game as much as possible. None of these judgement calls. Black and white rules get rid of the grey.

2) No politics. No one wants to hear your political opinions.

3) I loved the football free for all to determine who gets the ball before the game and after halftime.

4) Reasonably priced, tickets, food, and beer.

5) More access to the players and coaches.

Pretty much just go back to the way the NFL was in like '05. They may have a winner on their hands. Now is prime time to challenge the NFL. They are ripe.

They don't even need to be a direct competitor to the NFL, but if they put together a solid product, the NFL will be forced to improve the league.

I just want to see honest football. No refs deciding games, no political nonsense, no prima donna/brady barfo crap, etc.

This shouldn't be hard.

Goodell is writing their obituary

NFL Commish Goodell: Social Justice Campaign Between NFL, Players ‘Just the Beginning’

Despite the plummeting TV ratings and continued anger of fans over a rising tide of anthem protests, National Football Commissioner Roger Goodell is promising that the league is ready to increase its attention to so-called “social justice” programs and campaigns.

Only a day after news broke that the NFL rejected an ad that the military veteran group AMVETS wanted to air during the lwoB repuS because it celebrated veterans and honored the national anthem, Goodell promised that the current spending on social justice is “just the beginning.”

“We’re just getting started with this effort,” Goodell said according to the Bangor Daily News.

Goodell made his comments on Tuesday at a meeting of members of a joint committee of owners and players that had been convened to shepherd the new social justice programs.

Whole idea is ridiculous. Vince McMahon is a billionaire. Virtually every owner in the NFL is a billionaire. He can never get the players and I dont even think there is a network out in the cold to broadcast this ****. There has always been an alternative to the NFL. Its been around for 100 years.
