XFL going to make another appearance in 2020

There will definately be Pizzazzzzz and Flamboyancy in this XFL, after all MacMahon is involved. But he could have a better outcome than last time in the fact that there is so many turned against the current NFL. I'm for anything that might be a substitute along the way.

Minor league baseball and hockey works because they are supported by parent clubs and often in smaller centres where there is nothing else. If it isnt collegiate people dont want to see second rate. They just dont.

The last time he attempted it, the NFL wasn't facing a massive fan backlash and dropping ratings. It's a different playing field right now.

But they aren't competing against one another, so it doesn't matter.

The Wheeling Ironmen?

Is Wheeling that close to Pittsburgh?
I know a lot of WV and Nailers fans also adopt the Pittsburgh teams.
Nailers understandable cause they are Pens farm team.

If they go back to real tackling, everyone stands for the national anthem, the league itself doesn't have a favorite team, and they don't screw up instant replay, then it could work this time.

Bring back the lingerie league

AND Pittsburgh had twice champions in this league. Our QB was amazing and they had a pretty tough RB and defense hit. The lingerie league, least ways the Pittsburgh team was pretty dang tough. Hats off to them.

The XFL has a real chance to make it. Even casual fans have noticed how far the quality of NFL football has fallen in just a few years. It's no wonder when you pretty much outlaw practice.

The NFL sets the tone, so now colleges and high schools hit less in practice. Nobody can block, nobody can tackle. Coaches now just gameplan around trying to trick the defense.

It wasn't long ago that 3rd and 2 was a run down and the offense would concert most of the time. What is 3rd and 2 now? It's usually a pass, not because of any strategy of surprise but because very few teams can actually block well enough to gain a yard if the defense is expecting it.

That's why a team might pitch the ball outside on a key 4th and 1. Because even with pro bowlers on the OL, they have no confidence they can block a run play when the defense is prepared for it.

That's pathetic. It's also why it is possible that the XFL can gain a foothold if they build their league around great blocking and tackling. Or simply, they let guys hit each other.

4th and 1 was almost always an attainable QB sneak until when? Hmmmm....

All the safety talk with football.......I get it.
But football always has been and always will be a violent sport.
For a thought that some will call crazy talk, I would say eliminate helmets.
This would eliminate players using their heads to tackle and force them to wrap up with arms and deliver blows with shoulders.
Need supporting evidence? Look no further than Professional Rugby.
Just as violent as a sport. Don't have helmets. Don't have anywhere near the concussion issues and/or CTE issues the NFL suffers from.

And, I'll be completely un-PC, I enjoy the violence. It's what drew my fascination to the game to begin with.
I want to watch the physicality. I want to see the collision. I want to see the skill. Injuries will happen.
It WAS modern day gladiator arena, only nobody was forced to compete against their will.
