You gotta be ******' crazy.

Believe it or not, there are actually millions of people that make the decision to not carry a stolen weapon and sell drugs every day. It is a choice, war on drugs or not. And things usually turn out better for them.

No way! You’ve got to be ******** me. I don’t buy it.

And once again you expose yourself as a judgmental, first class ***.

Poverty does indeed lead to crime...but it doesn't create it. I grew up poor as dirt. I didn't rob or steal. Millions grow up poor and aren't criminals. But poverty is a culprit and needs to be addressed. When I say stop the damned criminal activity, it entails fixing the problem of violence. And that is a multi-faceted problem. Jobs, poverty, eliminate welfare which has destroyed the black community, education. In order to stop the violence, many things need to be done. There's nothing religious about that. You want to make excuses for the black community. There are "some" to be made. But when you see millions of poor people who aren't criminal, the argument becomes a weak one. This is a fact - if the crime lowers so too will the encounters with the police. No arguing that.

And **** you and your stupid stereotypes AGAIN. Stop saying Conservatives don't want to solve and throwing out these baseless inaccurate statements. I don't live in a Conservative bubble. I work and live with the Right and the Left. You still refuse to acknowledge my personal work doing just this...trying to solve some of these problems on a personal level. My family has taken a young African American man under our wing for the past 5 years. Clothed him, bought his family furniture, paid medical bills, taken him to hospitals, fed him, have had him sleep hundreds of nights in our home, and are now helping this young man who just got himself incarcerated. I'll be visiting him Wednesday night at the detention center. My fellow coaches, one of whom is conservative, now houses a young African American man who lives with his white family. They did this to get him out of his cancerous environment, provide him proper family structure, and get him into a proper school. I saw the boy three weeks ago when we were all together. Amazing how a family unit can turn a young man's life around.

The problem is the culture. It's welfare. It's poverty. It's the lack of the family unit (70+% of African American kids being born to unwed mothers). It's a million things. And thank God there are people out there, like my friend and I, that bypass all this SJW bullshit, roll up our sleeves and actually work to help.

There are countless Conservatives around the country that help out daily. Studies show Conservatives are far more charitable with their personal time and money than Liberals. Look it up if you doubt.

But by all means, keep marching to the beat of your warped drum. Keep on living in this fantasy hate-filled world where HuffPo tells you Conservatives are racist and you repeat the thoughts like a parrot. Keep on making an *** out of yourself by repeating these baseless stereotypes.

If you try to help people you have "white savior complex". If you suggest people work harder to better themselves you are speaking out of "white privilege". Those who want to be victims will always find ways to portray themselves as victims.

Keep doing what you're doing Tim. People like SV don't know what's in your heart, and they don't care. They just want to keep the victim narrative going. Solving problems is hard. Making excuses and blaming people is easy. You are actually doing good, or at least trying to counteract some of the evil in the world. You don't need to prove yourself to anyone.

Or open your wallets and pay police officers 100k per year and seek the best of the best. Minimum requirements of an undergraduate degree. Cause if you hire ex military you get people who are trained to kill peopke without thinking about it. Police are their to protect people with violence as the last resort.

You have to live there. Your family can live wherever they want. But you have to live in the district you patrol. And it's not like you'd be alone, cops tend to live near each other. So rent a tenement house together. If you're not harassing and abusing people, there's no reason to **** with you.

You know who the safest person in any Black neighborhood is? The cool cop. The dude who plays basketball with the local kids and checks in on their moms. He's respected. I've seen this more times than I can count. He knows the neighborhood kids by name. But police culture is a combination of extreme sport adrenaline junkies, war culture, and frat culture. And that's toxic when it hits the ground. You kill their ability to escape accountability, you kill their desire to harass and brutalize people. Further, you MUST legalize drugs and abolish gun control. Most of the negative contacts initiated by police are contraband fishing expeditions. Get cops out of the confiscation business and focus on real crimes. If kids know the cops are there to help, they won't be so hostile when one walks up to talk to them. I've seen this first hand.

While you are half right, why should a cop be FORCED to leave his family behind to police people hwho gave up giving two ***** about each other? The black communities have been decimated by the "war on drugs" and the resulting breakdown of the family unit. The cops can not be held responsible for fixing those problems, they must be corrected from within the community. Sure there are bad cops, never said there wasn't, and they should be weeded out. Until the black community takes back their streets things will not change.

If the law says I have to sit at the back of the bus, should I follow it? If the law says I have to get on a railroad car to Auschwitz, should I follow it? If the law says the government can confiscate all my firearms, should I follow it?

The laws must be just in order to be respected. Our laws are not just.

Those are NOT our laws, so your point is not valid. IF those were in fact the laws, NOW OR HERE, then you would be supported in you reasoning. What laws, that are actually on the books, do you dis agree with? Maybe there is some way to address legitimate concerns.

I don't care what people say legalizing drugs like coke and heroin will have no good effects unless you consider more people killing themselves by ODing. Talk to a cop, emt, paramedic and ask them how much time and resources are wasted just on answering OD calls. That's not counting other drug related calls. If everyone has easy access to it i can see many kids saying they just want to try it and end up ODing accidently. Legalizing drugs is just not the answer.

I just don't GET the whole "thug" mentality. At all. I don't GET how a culture is taught that crime is OK, the police suck, that everyone is out to get them, especially white people. Maybe that is my "white privilege" that everyone of color thinks I have. I honestly do NOT understand how teaching violence and hatred towards people is OK and acceptable in some cultures.

Because.....slavery.

Actually,,,,Because...... Trump

They hate him. He is outing the corruption and social disease that was Obama and he must be stopped at all costs.

Look at Tibsy's posts, One string of name calling and vitriol after another, all aimed at Trump, the great Satan and destroyer of all that is socialist in the world.

You are assigned a district. You don't get to choose it. You have to live in your assigned district. So you could not simply refuse the assignment to a Black district, you'd have to quit the force all together. Which I like. Get the frat boys and bros the hell out.

If you want to be a cop, and serve the community, you should want to live there. You should be all in. You should be committed. If not, you should do something else for a living. I hear veterinary techs are in demand.

I understand your sentiment but have a real problem forcing someone to move because they were assigned a District they don't live in. Are they(PD or City) going to buy the house and pay the moving expenses? Is it even legal to do that?

The general idea of this is good, but there is no possible way it could or ever would happen.
