I've been one of his biggest apologists. His lack of vision won't overcome his slow initial steps. They thought they were getting Derrek Henry 2.0. They did not. You pay for yards and TD. In the end you cannot say the blocking isn’t shity. It is. But you cannot spend money based upon that premise. If somehow he takes off between now and next year you can always tag him.

Harris was a volume producer over his first two years. He only runs hard when he has a chip on his shoulder and that only happens a couple of times a year. He needed to be a top-10 talent for the investment they made, but instead they got an average back they could have found in the third round.

Correct me if I am wrong, we ran the ball in total 12 times and tossed it 40 times. How can we state dude blows when he never gets the rock?

Look I’m not trying to defend him, but it’s hard to evaluate him when his OC is ******* horrible, the Oline is ******* pathetic.

I think two and half years of watching Harris has been enough to see he doesn't deserve a fifth-year option.

And Warren's stats are not anything special to boot either. They both have subpar stats running behind the same crappy OL.

I wouldn't be upset if they don't offer a fifth-year option but the fact is our OL during his time here has been horrible. Run blocking and pass blocking. Whether it is talent, coaching scheme.... whatever it is they simply....suck.

And it’s the same **** line, same **** OC calls
The excuses are so worn out...NO ONE CARES.....Sometimes you just gotta be able to perform in spite of your situation, who you work with & who your coaches are...At my job I HAVE to produce cause I get paid on sales...Rain can **** me up, my managers have several glaring flaws in their coaching skills, because they leave it all up to me and are hands off, our prices can **** me up, I can be sick & still have to go to work, & I still have to perform...

AND I DO....Take responsibility & stop making excuses...NO ONE CARES

Nice comparision.

I refuse to believe the same Online Harris can not run behind, but Warren makes yards.

Harris is too big or too slow

I get it. But it isn't that simple.

First, to note where Najee falls short, he isn't explosive at the hole. He is either over trusting his blockers (the Bell running style) or being indecisive.

Second, where Najee is strong is (i) getting the block at the initial level and then identifying the move at the second level; and (ii) getting downfield receiving yards (until the coaches remove this from the 3 page playbook).

Third, to note where Warren falls short, he is one dimensional from the first to the second level, there will be no identification at the second level (for best or worse).

Fourth, where Warren is strong is the 100% straight ahead run which has a reasonable success rate.

Overall, between the two, the averages are pretty similar. The failure for the Steelers coaching staff is to understand when and how to you use both separately AND together. But that failure isn't surprising given the crap show that is our coaching staff.

Look.. Right now..... Many people see warren as the better back for shooting a hole that Najee would dance behind. Coaches need to do whats best for the team right now. Right now. Not the team they wish was on the field.

Nobody in this forum is coming in here after this game and saying wow,, did you see Najee today? Nobody will come in and say Najee was better than warren.

The problem with the volume is that they cannot score a point in the first 1/4. So he is never going to be a volume back. And the chances of them replacing Tomlin with an offensive genius are nill. And the chances of them replacing Canada with another dip **** are astronomically high.

Bottom line if you are picking up that option it has to be for production not excuses. You can get a guy for a 10th of the wage to make excuses for.

Don’t disagree, except I don’t think these are excuses, rather the causes. …

I’d hate to see the guy leave and then go out and have a blowout year. It’s hard for a guy who weighs 220-230 to take command over 900 lbs of defensive lines. And since we’re talking about, why did we draf an OT in the 1st round and then let him rust? I see Jones out once in awhile but I think he should be used more often. Maybe use Mt. Washington for some blocking as well.

Again, not saying anything about year 5….

Hard to be quick with three defenders in the backfield.

A quick look I did, NH has just a few more touches than both Hurts and Jackson running the rock. The only person in this O I can say is worth it is Pickens. Too bad he will ***** his way out bc of this **** O.

The team is not doing Harris any favors. How many runs did Harris have that were straight up the middle? With Harris they were running stretch's or off tackle. With a few of Warrens runs it was straight up the middle. Warren did not do well when he ran outside. Not to mention the Jags have a very good run D and there is 0 flow to the offense in general. If the backs are not getting the same runs then it is impossible to compare. Harris has shown he can catch the ball, but they dont mix it up with him usually. The whole offense is just a mess.
