And with 6 games to go til the end of the season I guess you could officially say the gauntlet began today. Every game IMO from here on out feels like a Must Win game because there are no easy opponents the rest of the way. Steelers offense started off the game moving the football efficiently. Throughout the whole game this offense was able to move the ball up and down the field the entire game. We only saw one punt by Waitman the entire game. Russell Wilson was pretty spectacular today throwing for over 400 yards and 3 TD's. He did toss and INT but IMO it was an absolutely terrible NO call on the Bungles that resulted in a Wilson INT returned for a TD. Penalty should have been illegal use of hands on the CB covering Pickens.....Pickens was practically mauled on the play after 5 yds downfield but the INT stood and that just stunk! The O-line did a pretty good job today providing time for Wilson to find guys open downfield throughout the day. 10 different players caught passes today for the Steelers......some clutch catches to move the chains by Freiermuth, Pickens, Pruitt, Skowronkek, & Austin who left in the first half with a Concussion after a Helmet to Helmet hit....should have been a penalty but it wasn't. Harris & Warren contributed with 10 receptions for over 100 yards combined. The irony in all of this with 10 different guys catching a pass the only player who didn't was Mike Williams. Why did we trade for him again? I don't know what his snap count was but I didn't notice him on the field until Austin for hurt.

Defensively this was a great game for some and absolutely awful for others. Cam Heyward looked like a kid out there at times and played very well throughout the game. Nick Herbig had a great strip sack late in the game that was scooped up by Payton Wilson for the TD in the 3rd Quarter. DeShon Elliot was a tackling machine out there finishing with 11 tackles too. TJ was TJ today.....nice to see him get moved around in the Defense to give him more opportunity out there. Joey Jr......YIKES! He might have been the best player the Bungles had out there today! It was absolutely friggin brutal!

I've gotta get this off my chest today when it comes to the officiating.....The Bungles LT must have False Started 9 or 10 times today....blatantly obvious and he was only called for it twice! It was so obvious. I don't think officiating has ever been worse! TERRIBLE man!

Per Mike Tomlin's Post Game:
Calvin Austin - Has a concussion that's being avaluated

Game Balls:
Russell Wilson - 29 for 38 414 yards 3TD's, 1-INT
Najee Harris - 75 yds rushing, 6 rec 54 yds 1-TD
Cam Heyward - He looked like a kid out there today! 5 tackles, 1 sack 1 batted ball
DeShon Elliot - 11 tackles today....he was all over the field
TJ Watt - 2 sacks, 3 tackles today
Payton Wilson - Had an INT 2 weeks ago, Got his first TD today on a Fumble Recovery
Nick Herbig - 1 sack, 1 forced fumble....He is fun to watch!

Game Goats:
Joey Porter Jr - HORRIBLE today......I lost count on the penalties but there was 2 big Pass Interference calls that gave the Bungles 2 easy TD's

FU's:
**** THE BUNGLES! Enjoy Your Off-Season L00SERS!

Game Balls:
Mike Tomlin - no losing seasons
Russell Wilson - by far his best game as a Steeler and probably one of the best of his career
Offensive Line - efficient ground game today
Najee Harris - carried the team early catching the ball
Cam Heyward - absolute beast today
TJ Watt - two big sacks, including a forced fumble

Goat:
Joey Porter Jr. - it's almost like you need to try to be that bad, just a dreadful game

Orlando Brown was moving early on every single snap, so yeah, in that regard the officiating sucked.
Oh, and Pickens getting mugged on the INT.

Good thing they came away with the W.
Yeap, the guy had a jail free card

A starting no.1 corner can't play the way Porter has. Most guys playing like that would get sent to the bench quick.

The refs blow.
Meh.....half of the calls were iffy....maybe more. It would help if he cleaned it up more perhaps. Hopefully he does.

Broderick Jones is getting better at Right Tackle.
the oline as a whole played well.
TJ showed up.
Cam- you are having a great year!
DJ is our best player in the secondary. great trade
ZF-the next great Steeler center
Coaching staff- Great job on the game plans.

Props to Tomlin for sticking with Jones when everyone wanted him on the bench.

FU to the Refs.

I am sorry, that unsportsmanlike penalty where the REF divined a gun motion while Pickens was pointing at the stands was complete and utter ******* bullshit. It was like the REFS want to see if they can press Pickens into full tilt. They were the ones pushing the boundaries. Hell, Friermuth pointed at the fans after a TD. No Call.

The pick 6 was a cowardly no call by the Refs. Gutless. When you see some of the **** the called on JPP and then they keep their flags in the pocket when GP gets thrown down by his helmet??? WHY??

Get off GP's back and call out the BS

These REFS can **** right on off.

To be fair it wasn’t an easy matchup for Porter not that he doesn’t need to clean up his play.

I was thinking the Steelers should dig a hole in their back yard a deep one and put their not extending contracts during the season in the hole. For good. As I think they should extend Najee so they didn’t have to feel forced to use a draft pick on the position..

I agree 1000% with you here Slash. I hate this self imposed Steelers rule. They say it causes distractions because other players will want to have their contracts reworked. That’s bullshit imo! You could make it understood that we will only do new contracts for players in their last year.
We could do Najee and even Russ during this season. Warren is a restricted free agent,
Archaic way of doing business in today’s NFL that was started by the old man Art Sr.
I’ll tell you Najee has really grown on me this year. Running hard and effective and I’m afraid he’ll be gone.

FWIW, Najee is 1 of 2 running backs in the top 20with under 4.0 YPC, is tied for the fewest TDs with 3, and has the fewest runs of 20+ yards with 1.

I get stats but his hands is reliable he can pass catch and he can bulldoze. More importantly I don’t want the team to have to draft the position high. I prefer they use their high picks on WR, CB, and DE.

JPJ had a tough day but lets be fair. he was matched up one on one with some stud receivers and the Bengals were getting away with way worse **** than they were calling JPJ for. also lets remember he is only in his second year, he will get a lot better with time and yet he is still pretty damn good right now.

GP, WTF man you need to get your **** together. he may be a great talent but his decision making has me worried that he might be retarded or something. you make a great play to get your team out of trouble and turn around and give most of those yards right back.

They need to resign Najee. The better this line plays the more he shows out his skill. he is a beast when he has any type of hole.

What can you say about Muth. FEED the man. they went to him like three or four times in a row on one drive and the Bengals had no answer for him, that TD was a thing of beauty.

Holy crap did we actually use the middle of the field today?

Wish when we had a seventeen point lead in the fourth QTR we would not have to be worried about having to make a first down to seal the V with two minutes left.

I agree, but they passed on his tag value so I don't think they'll pay him more than that after the season.

Orlando Brown posted the EXACT same comments - and I mean verbatim - before the game even started!!

To be fair, that is the case only because of the constant early starts ...

The Cam tackle of Chase Brown for a loss happened right in front of our seats giving me a perfect view of it. You could hear it as well. I know they scored but it was a beautiful crushing hit.

You forgot a game ball for Najee. Running hard with a load in his pants...... that's dedication. Give that man what one can only hope is the one and only Najeh Davenport Dump of the Year Award. The irony of both of them having the same first name(almost)....LOL.

It's at 1:48 Listen as the reporter asks the question he says "chill" makes a face then proceeds to blame it on Muth's girlfriend who made some kind of banana dessert for Thanksgiving. The clue is in him eating oranges which everyone knows is a quick cure. He should not have mentioned the oranges. Still the man carries more than defenders for extra yardage...give him his due:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: When they mention Russ and QBs in the next question he has a funny reaction as he's still pondering how that could happen....LOL.
