Hard to be that high on Rodgers at this point but it's still pretty likely he'd give the Steelers their best QB play in years.
 
Wonder how long he will hold up with our OL blocking for him?

Exactly what we thought and were told last season. Go figure.
 
So all the griping about the offense and not using the middle of the field. Now they get a guy in Metcalf and possibly Rodgers, who will use the middle of the field regardless of what so many believe Tomlin orders, and it's still wrong?

Tomlin used the middle when he had Ben. He hasn't had the players to do it. We biitch about the wrong thing. The issue should be the fact that he hasn't had the right players offensively. That's his fault, it's not a pass.

Now, if that happens 10-15 times per game, I'd watch that. Bury that arrogant MF'r in the Heinz field turf!!

So Tomlin basically forced a 39 year old HOF Ben into retirement but we will sign a 42 year old 1 year removed from a torn Achilles. 🤔

I don’t think I said that. I said he could improve on last year, him personally. Not much worse it could get for him. He ain’t my first second year r third choice. But if comes, he comes. We either do well or flame out. Either way should be a win long term.

I don't know man. There's more than anecdotal evidence of players open in the middle of the field and the QB's either ignore them, don't see them or are instructed to play outside the numbers. Wasn't there a story that Tomlin was upset with Wilson after the first bengals game for something like that? I can't quite remember.

Ben's last season we saw Tomlin's revamped offensive scheme and philosophically.....until we reached the 4th quarter anyway and Ben did Ben and had 7 fourth quarter come from behind wins.

Maybe Tomlin let's Smith open up the offense and use every inch of grass. Or maybe Tomlin sees an aging Vet and will want to limit his TOs.

It's Mike Tomlin! Think of the most asinine and bizzarro things that can be done, he'll do them and then he sits back with a big grin feeling like the most intelligent guy on the Earth.
