Oh he was improved from previous years for sure. I wasn’t even questioning the slides, except for one, it was more of when to run or not run. Again my biggest complaint and one he hopefully fixes if he returns is his touch on his deep throws. If they were on target they were fine but if not there was no chance of adjusting to them to make the catch. He has a great arm but needs to learn when to dial it down. He also has to get much better on screens.

Then we should just go with some bum and hope we can get one of the QB's in next years draft.

I think Fields' deep throws were better than Russ'. Especially by the end of the season where Russ' deep throws were putrid.

Doesn't matter now. Lol. He is taking the money and going to an even worse QB situation and having to learn yet another offense. i will luagh my *** off if he ends up on the bench there.
 
Fields must have wanted nothing to do with the Steelers since the deal he got from the Jets isn't crazy money. I'm fine if they bring in Rodgers provided the money isn't crazy over multiple years. Fix a few holes on the team, and if Rodgers can get back to his Green Bay form, along with the addition of DK, the Steelers at least start to enter the topic of possible super bowl contenders provided the coaches don't get in the way. Even a Rodgers at 75% of what he was even two years ago is a better QB than any QB the Steelers have had on the team the last five years. However, I think going with Rodgers only works if they pick up a legitimate young future QB1 this draft or next to sit behind him for a year or two to learn before getting tossed to the wolves like Pickett. The team sucks at developing young QBs.

Most teams suck at developing young QBs and most young QBs just suck. Even the first rounders. I don't see us as any worse than most teams at what is a very hard thing to do.

The thing is A-A Ron is quick to throw his teammates under the bus/train/asteroid - any ******* thing - to prove he's always right...
 
My take on the qb situation would be sign Fields to a contract. Say 3 or 4 yrs for whatever $$$$. Not worried about the cost. He won't break the bank. Build your offense around him basically taking the Ravens offense perhaps. Use his legs to move defenders. This will open WRs up. Use all of the field. Use your WR/TE/RBs in the middle of the field. RPOs. You ride Fields for the length of the contract. He has talent.

We sign Rogers and we will be right here again next offseason. Just like last offseason. Our franchise needs a plan. Direction. We have no plan or direction. We have contacted supposedly Fields, Russ, Donald and Rogers. Maybe others. What is our offense? This is crazy. And this is just one side of the ball. We have major issues schematicly on the defense also. Add in Watt's situation.

Rooney take control and direction of your franchise. Please.
 
So, uh, what number do you think Rodgers will wear for the Steelers? All I can do at this point is laugh in order to keep from crying. Wow. We are down to Aaron Rodgers or Russ Wilson.

At this point, I'm willing to take a flyer on Gardner Minshew. At least he's under 35.

If the rumor is correct that he wanted a guarantee that he would be the starter.....why wouldn't the Steelers give him that? If you are going to throw large amounts of money to him just give him that guarantee. They gave it to Russ and he was here for peanuts. If Rogers steps in they will be giving it to him. Hopefully Fields just wanted to test the market and the rumor was just that. A rumor with no factual truth behind it. Our franchise is being run like a circus anymore.

I meant I would have signed him before FA hit. An actual plan with direction.
