Not too early: what to do at QB?

He's not as short as Wilson, I'd take Mayfield over a lot of guys right now. I would have taken him right after Cleveland dumped him honestly. Always thought he got shafted.
He only seemed bad when he was with Carolina, who doesn't look bad with that group?

So if Rogers and Wilson end up signing elsewhere, does it force the Steelers hand into drafting a QB in round 1? I hope not, unless of course that QB turned into a franchise player, then I’m fine with it. Regardless, I’m thinking this might be the year to trade down and pick up capital, especially since we just gave up our second rounder.

I see the logic in that. We know we need at least 1 DL, maybe 2. We could just treat this year as a wash and take Joe Goober for QB and then just hold on to '26 for a QB.

Browns are sniffing around Wilson now.

So we have a QB. I hear A-A-Ron wants 45m a year so I’m moving on faster than DiCaprio when his girlfriend hits 21.

I think the draft at this point is our best long term option. But we still need a 3rd QB.

Flacco? I mean we already brought in one QB half this board hates so why not bring one in that we all hate. Flacco still has a big arm and we now have two big deep threats.

Minshew? I honestly think he would be a fan favorite. He’s a fiery competitor, mobile, relatively young, decent arm not great.

Trey Lance? Younger player that really hasn’t gotten much of a chance. I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable going into the season with stud receivers and no viable starters but perhaps Rudy, Lance or draft pick would grab the bull by the horns and take the job and run.

Jameis Winston? Crabman has a million dollar arm. Just attached to a ten cent head.

Cousin’s? I’m not trading for him but if he gets cut I probably put him as my best option. He’s not a pressure player but if we get a good lead we can lean on the defense so he doesn’t have to make 4th quarter comeback plays.

What if Shadur Sanders drops to us, do we grab him?

I wouldn't touch that with a 10' pole. One because he cannot read a defense to save his life. Half of his sacks in college are because he takes forever to get rid of the football. Secondly, I would not want the distraction that comes with him and his "brand."

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Steelers knowingly had 0 qbs under contract entering this year. Not knowing what to do about it, they made up a plan, later on, to go after an almost 42 yr old qb for 2 yrs. And then desperately signed a 2yr dear with Mason Rudolph. Whose running this s h i t show?

Flacco may not be all that crazy, with DK and GP on the outside, he's great at throwing it up high and waiting for the interference calls.

nobody throws better PI balls than Bert!

Mark Malone took the majority of snaps in the 80's, not NOD or Bubby.
Yeah I know.
The bubby O’Donnell era was a fun time.
I can’t believe you reminded me of Kent graham.
That guys looked like he had two left arms and two left feet

Looks like Minchew is off the board. I don’t care who we sign at this point just sign who the **** ever and move to the draft. Sign Kyle Allen. IDGAF! Just take whoever signs then pull the rug out from underneath A-A-Ron and then try to negotiate with his only other suitor in the giants when there’s no competition for him.

Tyler Shough in the 4th... he was one of our post combine visits.. he is 25 about to turn 26 so teams wont draft him early... at worse you wont have blown a ton of draft capital on the position in a down year
