Not too early: what to do at QB?

Think it's time to tell Rodgers times up, we're moving on. Bring Russ back for 1 year and if he struggles Mason takes his place simple.

Try and land legitimate QB for the future next year.
Might end up happening

I wouldn't touch that with a 10' pole. One because he cannot read a defense to save his life. Half of his sacks in college are because he takes forever to get rid of the football. Secondly, I would not want the distraction that comes with him and his "brand."
That would be living in your fears. I heard we don't do that in Pittsburgh. We actually embrace it.🤪

Flacco may not be all that crazy, with DK and GP on the outside, he's great at throwing it up high and waiting for the interference calls.
If we are going to sign someone over 40 might as go with the cheaper option.

Just play Rudy. Flacco, Russ, others have agents waiting by the phone. Cheap after the season starts. If Rudy gets injured make the call.

All Tomlin needs is a robot to hand off and throw short passes behind the LOS. He wants tomlinball programmed into the robot.
Bam. 9 wins.

It just doesn't matter, soon after the season starts it will be "piss-you-pants-time" and the playbook will be run, run, incomplete/too short of pass, punt, every time. And in time, the defense will falter and that plan will fail. Way to go Clown-lin. No passes to the middle of the field, my God that is too frightening to Mike. 9-8, no playoff wins. End of story. Thanks for coming.

Rudy and a rookie, if Rudy stinks or gets hurt, kid gets a shot. Signing a 37-42 yo is just a desperate move to win 9 games.

Actually, Rogers didn't play that bad to finish up the season, but the point remains: Between 42 y/o and Clown-lin there is little hope.

Just imagine the situation if they hadn't brought Rudy back.
Would it be any worse than a WR unit with no one but selfish, immature GP as our only WR worth 2 spits? And not worth much more than that, 2 spits. So we added Metcalf and probably will lose Pickens, so....

Welp, Shefter now reporting that Rodgers just might retire, Cowherd is saying that an NFL exec says the Steelers love Milroe enough to take him at 1.21.

Happy Thursday!

It helps to quote the actual quote:

"I think that first of all, they both need each other right now, frankly. And that's if Aaron wants to play," Schefter told ESPN Mikwaukee. "Which I'm not convinced yet that he does. Until I hear him, 'I want to play,' then I can tell you people are asking that question about whether or not he wants to play. It's come up. ... I'm hearing he might not want to play. Which by the way, again, I don't want to speak for him because I don't want to get called out. We're speculating, but it shouldn't be that hard. Either you want to play for the Steelers or you don't. What are we waiting for?"

Did it ever occur to you, with all your whining, that you are the definition of "piss-your-pants?"

I would not be surprised if the Steelers took Sanders in the first (if he drops a little, they may go up and get him); Dart in the first (even with a possible move up); Milroe in the 3rd if he falls that far; or Shough in the 3rd or 4th.

Not even close to the same thing, curly cue. Not even close. Complaining about a coach with no brains or balls is hardly pissing your pants, what don't you grasp?

They were talking Steeler football on "NFL Live" just now. They were pointing out how we made absolutely zero progress on our QB situation since 2000, 5 years ago. That's half a decade in case you're wondering. Clown-lin has made no ground towards securing the most critical position, by far, on the football team. None. Yes, the most crucial position on the team, by far, hasn't progressed anywhere at all in half a decade under the "leader" of this team. WTF is this team doing? Playing their fiddle while Rome burns? Great job, fellas.

Watered your drawers a little there, huh?

They were talking Steeler football on "The Facility." They said they have screwed up the QB position for 3 straight years. I am, REALLY screwed it up. Who the F is in f-ing charge of this team? How can they not get the QB position right for 3-6 years straight? Clown-lin is a disgrace to Steeler footbAll.

Option 1: Sign A-Aron and Rudy is #2.
Option 2: Rudy is #1 and sign a vet backup cut from another team.
Option 3: Sign Unibrow (for the newbies that’s Joe Flacco) and Rudy is #2.

That’s what I think the team’s priorities are.
What I WANT to happen is #1 or #3 purely for the entertainment value.
