10-2 against a very tough schedule. Today’s away game in an incredibly difficult environment. Only an 83.2 winning percentage. In only his second year.
Tomlin 6-4 at a 60% Clip…..with the highest paid Defense in year 19. Who again is the FRAUD?
Perhaps Steeltime will represent you.
 
SMU blew it against Cal. It’ll be an awful ACC Championship game between Virginia and Duke. UVA is probably no better than the 5th best team in the conference.
 
Seeing lots of predictions for Penn State vs Pitt in the Pinstripe Bowl. I guess we'll see.

Kiffin now official to LSU. Supposedly he wants to stay and coach Ole Miss through the playoffs. What do you do if you're Ole Miss? On one hand, you want to tell him to pound sand and bar him from the facilities so he doesn't steal coaches and players. On the other hand, this may be your best shot ever at winning a Championship.
 
Apparently Kiffin wanted to coach the playoffs and Ole Miss said No. I think that's right. Don't give him any more access to steal even more from the program.
Gut punch for their fans. You went from thinking you had a shot at a championship and now you lost your coach and were essentially just told that you are a second tier program.

 
And somehow Penn State hasn’t hired anyone. Not sure exactly what they are waiting for.

I think they have their guy. I hope they do. Lots of important dates coming up. Gotta get what you can since much has been lost in recruiting.

Pitt earned a better bowl? How's that -- by getting embarrassed at home by Miami and Notre Dame, or losing to West Virginia? Pitt won't bring fans to the game like PSU will, even in a down year. But I guess, technically, you're right: Pitt beat one good team, Penn State beat none.

Agreed.
I’m looking more at a Tennessee or USC matchup against Pitt would be a good bowl game for both teams.
Penn State dropped off of my radar when King Joe decided to remove the Pitt/Penn State rivalry game back in the day.

And to be a little preemptive, here is my take on what happened during that time:

Paterno supported the creation of the Eastern Football Conference and was disappointed when Pitt did not join, which influenced the decision to stop playing Pitt annually.
Also, Paterno requested a 2-for-1 home-and-home series between Penn State and Pitt, arguing that Beaver Stadium had a greater capacity than Pitt Stadium, leading to the games being played more frequently at Beaver Stadium..

Yinz all know that I am a Notre Dame guy first and foremost, but Pitt will always have a soft spot in me being I’m a Pittsburgh kid that grew up about 3 miles from campus, and have a brother and several family members that are Pitt alum.

Yes. 6th in the ACC vs. 12 in the Big 10. I’m talking Duke’s Mayo, Sun Bowl, Holiday Bowl, nothing exactly prestigious, but not a cold-weather destination against a terrible Big 10 team.

Look, I know you're a Pitt homer, but the ACC sucks. And the Panthers didn't even play UVA, SMU, or Duke.

Yes, I'm a Penn State homer, and yes, they had a bad year. But you know and I know that if they played Pitt with full rosters next Saturday, PSU would still most likely win. They're not "terrible."

Six losses in a row and padded their record with cupcake wins the rest of the season, including squeaking by Rutgers to even get bowl eligible. They're bad this season.
