So Skowronek tried leaping over the guard centre and fell. I don't know the rules on that. It clearly didn't effect the kick, but can you imagine if he was penalized?

Yeah he and his girl go for drives and end up wherever. As they don’t live together it also gives them opportunities to see each other. They go on walking trails etc.

Not melting down, it would be awesome (and hilarious) if they went on a run. I just don't think they have a chance to do that, hence, no excitement. It would be different if this was a young team with a young QB on the rise, but it's not, it's an old team that went all in trying to hit a home run in the bottom of the 9th, and they don't even have warning track power.
And this is a down year in the AFC.

not really. I got awesome sleep and watched the highlights in the am. I got to see the best parts without all the drama.
Remember when you were a kid and loved the thrill of the roller coaster or a scary movie? It is really what watching that game was like.

For me, the game was exciting. I’m sure many were surprised by the out come, but are happy with it.
It’s not the game that takes the excitement away, but what many believe will follow. Face it, we have seen this Groundhog Day many a many times and feel we are so familiar with what the outcome will be.
That does take some of the high away. Add in the fact that the HC made a mockery by blowing kisses and acting as if they dominated the win, that spited many fans.
As for the upcoming game, I know it will be a big uphill battle for success. The Media is spinning the “Monday night home field” record as a reason they will win. Haven’t lost a home Monday night game since 1992, take it for what it’s worth.
The team / HC seem to falter when they hear of their invincibility, they need the underdog mentality.
Obviously, I am rooting and have HOPE as this is the first team in a long time that actually may move to the second round.

Yep. I just enjoyed the game and wasn't gonna throw any water on it. But he is an arrogant guy. Will he learn a little from the last 4 games? When they used the field they were more successful, when he was scared of the defense he was facing...not so much. There is a good defense coming in. What will we see?

The entire league has suffered from severe pussification since the TP days and even a bit earlier and the product is questionable with poor officiating and murky rules clouding results on a weekly basis. The greater product has been diminished.
On a smaller more local level we have been Tomlinized so it’s tricky being a fan when having dreams, expectations and the like for your team is insane because you already know the end results before the game/season starts. On the local level our product has been rendered irrelevant.
So having an irrelevant product in a pussified league definitely presents hurdles to the enjoyment of the process and the outcomes.
While the Steelers may eventually one day, years down the road escape the GHD Tomlin years…when they finally do it will still be returning to a pussified, murky league.
The College game, even with its flaws, has become a far superior product without even having to improve because the NFL has dipped that far.
These things do seem to suck the joy out of what should be a significant victory.

The game was great, exciting, and all that for sure, but I'm not a Pirates fan where I'm going to get overly excited over a regular season win over a sub .500 team, we've beaten 1 playoff team all season and that game took 6 turnovers to win it. Everyone saying this team is on a roll, yeah they've beaten 4 non playoff teams and the one team with a legit defense held us to 6 points.

I didn't read through all 7 pages of this thread but as fans, we still have a Ben hangover. None of games that involved Ben were the same, he found crazy ways to win games and lose games but it was always exciting. The games now seem to have the same MO, the plan is boring, no real play makers and a Jekyll and Hyde defense. I always said that I was going to miss Ben when he retired, I just didn't realize how much fun he made watching Steeler football. There won't be another like him, at least, in my lifetime.

If Burrow and Jackson were healthy all year, we'd likely be 3rd in the division. I get your childlike enthusiasm, but this is not a great story, it's an over the hill QB with a few flashes of life left and a wildly underachieving defense. Everything fell the Steelers way this year on the schedule and in the division in particular, and they finished the same old uninspiring 10-7.

I’ve got no issue with debate or a joke.
My issue is when he or others tell people to go root for another team if you dare to criticize Tomlin or any other aspect of the team, he’s been doing it for a long time so yeah I’ve got beef with him. Perhaps I’m a bit sensitive about it but I’ve lived and died with them all my life like almost everyone here. Telling someone to go root for another team is the ultimate jerk move in my opinion (it also shows me that someone doesn’t really have a defendable position) but that’s just me.
If you want to get dumber go back into his posts over the past year, it’s all there.

We didn’t dominate all season long against a bunch of teams in our division with 2nd and 3rd string QBs, have a bone crushing HISTORIC D, the GOAT QB paired with the GOAT HC AND get some help from up above on an ez chip shot just to get smoked in the WC round by the Texicans

Well, you know I didn't tell anyone to go root for another team here. I simply questioned why someone would bother watching if winning a game like this with these stakes doesn't excite you. That is a far cry from telling anyone to do anything. Simply getting excited about a huge win doesn't require anyone to change overall opinions or beliefs.
