This win feels real empty, doesnt it?

That’s not for you to decide or say. Don’t question why someone else is a fan or someone else’s affinity for the team

If that’s all you have to defend Tomlin and this team with that says a lot
That wasn't defending Tomlin at all. read what I wrote again. I simply said if this game didn't "excite you". Seriously if this wasn't exciting regardless of your thoughts on Tomlin or recent success then why watch? It was a damn exciting game no matter how you feel about the coach and I made no comment about that. I also did not question if someone was fan or not at any point. Only whether it is worth watching at this point if you weren't excited by the game and outcome.

Reasons Ravens lost

1. Kicker choked
2. Horrible pass D was horrible down the stretch
3. Terrible HC basically benched Henry after the half
4. Lamar sucked in the 2nd and 3rd quarters
5. No pass rush strategy fails for the zillionth year.

Refs don't make the list this time
The biggest reason was Hamilton going out, the offense was really struggling until he went out, then their best CB went too.

Bob Pompeani is now saying the Steelers will win easily Monday, Joe Starkey saying the Steelers will shut them out and Baltimore was the toughest team they'll face the rest of the way, WTF? These are the Homers that drive me crazy lol.

Lol do they realize that Ravens probably have the worst pass rush in the league. Texans defense is probably the best in the league. If the defense doesn’t hold Texans to under 21pts, we don’t win. The defense might need to score a TD too.

To think Texans are some scrub team is a big mistake. They’re 10x better than the Ravens on defense especially.

Pomp is dillusional and Starkey all over the board .
I watch this Texan team weekly and trust me, this will be anything but easy.
Shut the Texans out! Two weeks ago after Detroit Starkey had the Steelers going to the SB.
Last week after Cleveland he said this team may not even make the playoffs. So no surprise he has them beating a Texan team easily who are on a hot streak with the leagues #1 defense.
God how I miss Stan, Tunch and Wolf. Now we’re stuck with these turds.

Houston is the most dangerous team in the AFC...

Look at that schedule
All their losses were to legit teams in the first half of the season and they have a lot of quality wins... they didnt play a creampuff schedule like NE...

Mark Madden broke Pittsburgh sports media.. now they all are hot taking and controversial.. i miss solid, grounded reporting and opinions

Because in addition to being incredibly lucky, like the last Ravens win, I don't think it brings us any closer to the ultimate goal of winning a title, and in fact, may have taken us farther away. They're not winning 3 playoff games and beating the best of the NFC, FFS they're 3.5 pt home dogs to a team that's won 9 in a row with the best D in the NFL.

But since they won that sad division, Rooney will likely reward Tomlin with yet another extension and Rodgers will likely re-sign for 1-2 years, which means we remain on the treadmill of mediocrity for 2-3 more years instead of making the hard decisions to get back to championship football.

This is the kind of win Jets, Raiders, and Browns fans strive for. Have we set the bar that low now?
It's not about setting bars. It was just a fun game they won. They beat their division rival to win the division. That's all. No more, no less. I understand the problems this team has. But for last night and today it is more fun to enjoy it than worry about all those things.

Pretty sure all the Tomlin haters feel empty...

I switch to Madden when he comes on, he's over the top sometimes, but he's the only objective person on the radio that I hear in Pittsburgh.

I do. Some of my best conversations are with myself.
Go play with yourself then😆

Since you like to talk to your wife about your brilliant posting here, you should tell her you’re complaining about her menopause to all of us, you’ll be playing with yourself a lot going forward…

I started a thread last week about the topic. If I was ownership this would not move the needle or even a win next week. However, as a fan if I don't enjoy the Steelers beating their most bitter rival who was earmarked for the SB in August.......what's the point.

Not really.. there was plenty of failed coaching especially on the defensive side. That all goes out the window once a FG is missed though, I guess.

Seeing Tomlins cocky punk *** at the end showboat for the camera really made me want him to get his *** kicked next game just to bring him back to reality.

Sooooooooo

I took the long way to work today just so I can listen to 105.7 the fan a bit longer. The agony is awesome.
At work today did I purposely wear black and gold? Maybe.
Oh they are all so sad today.
Their season is over and their biggest rival caused it.

The excuses are multiple. Penalty not called on "the miss" ok. Holding on our last drive? Sure. Offense pass interference not called? Yep. Would have been different if Hamilton were in there? You bet!.

Today is a good day to live near Baltimore.
And the Steelers were missing their number 1 WR without having a number 2, LT, SS, with one of their top pass rushers coming off of surgery.

So the Steelers weren’t without obstacles..

None of your business, you’re no one’s dad or therapist

it’s a soft way of saying don’t be a fan of you don’t like it
You are free to take it that way. We have had our disagreements. I won't hold it against you. I just know it wasn't meant the way you are taking it. Not exactly.

This was my point exactly.

You, calling anyone else a bigot, is hilarious. He wasn't hired because of his skin color. He promptly won a Super Bowl and went to another. We can argue about playoff success but there is no argument about him being qualified for the job and at worst a good coach. He will also be in the hall of Fame. You my friend need to look in the mirror to see a bigot.
I think he blew their socks off in the interview and that impressed them enough to hire him. I do know there was some concern at the time of his qualifications. As one the Vikings has a lop sided defense. Their secondary blew chunks. Their run D was solid.

I would have liked for there to have been a more extensive search I think what was it like three candidates?

When you get to be my age, you still think about it quite a bit. You'll even get good and randy on occasion. But then the pain in your shoulder or knee or back makes the chair you are sitting in feel pretty damn comfortable.

My wife has no idea or care what I post here.

He won immediately. Whether anyone says who players they were he still won and went back again. You can make an argument he has gotten stale but that doesn't take away the fact he has proven he is a competent good coach. Good enough to go the HoF. That makes him more than what Kentucky bleats endlessly even if you want him replaced.
