Probably a cousinIzzat Coolie?
He wasn't offered the job. All these coaches this year are "removing their names" when they've been told they aren't getting hired. PR move to save face.Other report has him just not offered the job.
Doesn’t look like so far that Rooney is involved in Mike’s process.

Not sure what Kaboly means by "crossover." Maybe TE coach/passing game coordinator?I think Brian is doubling as the TE coach (not positive)
He was fired as Defensive Co-ordinator. Steelers are hiring him in a different role - secondary coach/assistant head coach. He seems to have a decent record pre-Washington as a secondary coach.Oh look……it’s nice to have friends. Another member of the Mike Alumni tour 2026. He worked for him for 12 years and just recently got fired.

Which is why hiring established head coaches sucks more than newer hires... the old guys recycles old ideas with old buddy coaches... new guys usually have to bring in more diversified coaches, which leads to innovations...It's just generally how it goes in both professional and college football. Coaches like having guys around who they are familiar with, and know what to expect from them. Look no further than Matt Campbell at PSU as another prime example.
To play devils advocate here..Which is why hiring established head coaches sucks more than newer hires... the old guys recycles old ideas with old buddy coaches... new guys usually have to bring in more diversified coaches, which leads to innovations...
I have a feeling with Mike’s comments involving his year sitting out that it won’t just be just an old way of looking at it approach.Which is why hiring established head coaches sucks more than newer hires... the old guys recycles old ideas with old buddy coaches... new guys usually have to bring in more diversified coaches, which leads to innovations...
I like the number of ex-players mixed in with the experienced parts of the coaching staff. Plus there are people there that understand the AFC North. I'm pretty positive so far. It's all about the QB from here though.Officially Announced Staff
