Even tho Rodgers has said he's willing to help? Even tho Howard has come out and said how much help Rodgers was last year?

You're right, the technical side of things, Mccarthy is teaching. The little nuances, things veterans learn along the way, how to watch film, study an opponent, things of that nature Rodgers can definitely help.

He's not out there showing them footwork, or release points, but there's a lot a veteran can pass on, and Rodgers has been willing to do this

There can be truth in this statement, we will have to wait until we see proof of it.

That proof will show up pretty fast once the season gets underway.

Yep. I never bought into the whole Rodgers mentoring thing as a bunch on here are saying.

Meh....I wasn't upset with the fact that he was dragging his feet again on his decision. I was upset with the fact our ownership decided to pursue him again and put the franchise in the same predicament as we were in last season. Just like when we didn't have a #2 WR for 2 seasons in a row. Oh well. I am just a fan.

I’m just tired of the spectacle two years in a row.

I’m glad the Aaa-Ron made it known this is his last season of play.

I hope he survives it with his health in tact, not necessarily his ego though.

“I think it’s a great opportunity, for sure, to be able to mentor those guys,” Rodgers said. “It means a lot to me (that with) all the backups I’ve had over the years (I have) a lot of good relationships still to this day with those guys. (After) the fun I had with Will last year, I’ll try and mentor Drew as much as he wants me to while I keep staying on Will."

I dont remember if you were/are anti-McCarthy, but if you were against his hiring.....guess what? Rodgers might be the reason why he is the head coach...lol.

But last season sure looked like his last season the way he looked during the back part of the season and playoffs.

What’s really sad is he’s coming back but already sees the end.
Maybe the NFL will gift wrap him a SB like they did for Manning on his way out…I’ll gladly take the tainted one in the case

The morons on the fan here in Pittsburgh think since he said this will be his final year, that he's going to go all out this season and not worry about taking hits to make plays, LOL. They're idiots, so he was saving himself last year incase it wasn't the end???? Morons.

I'd take it too. At least it would offset a little what the Pats* got away with. In no way shape or form should that franchise be in the position it's in today in terms of championships...no way.

Why would someone tarnish their legacy like that? I think he gives it everything he has..now will the O-line have enough? That's the big question.

Skill players we have. I'm excited that at least we get to see something new as far as scheme, which for the Steelers is seen as often as a Haley's comet appearance.

A hybridized WCO with elements of the Shanahan wrinkle thrown in, AND FOR ONCE the right personnel to run it....SOLD!

1. The Steelers drafted Allar in the 3rd round
2. The Steelers had Rudolph and Howard already under contract
3. The Steelers re-signed Aaron Rodgers to be the starting QB
4. Therefore, either the Steelers drafted Allar in the 3rd to develop (groom) him to be their starting QB or they just decided, "**** it, let's blow this pick."
5. You believe it's the latter, which is really, really, REALLY dumb.
 
I believe they are trying to find the next qb. They are loading the boat and throwing out the excess as they go. Mason Rudolph will be leaving.
How is this hard to understand? Allar has the tools and is unrefined. Theyre taking a stab. They didnt just say oh "F" Will howard , lets groom Allar...
