I'm not sure how fully guaranteed contracts would help unless there is verbage that says you can't get a new deal till the old one is up. I could see teams giving out shorter contracts. I think you would see a lot of 2-3 year deals which could benefit the team and player. If you play great you will get a big raise. If not the team won't be as handicapped with dead money.

He is in a catch 22 situation that he himself has caused (daddy didn’t anticipate this).

Most likely he’s been informed they will begin fining him if he doesn’t play.
If he wants to be traded then show other teams something on the field.

Also it kind of sounds like STEELERS’ doctors haven’t had the chance to determine “back” health.

I think it's way more likely we get a 3rd for JPJ than a 1st. I think they would be happy with a 2nd.
 
ok after this loss, tell him if he doesn't practice or play, fines start. We really need him and Dean vs. Chase and Higgins. We do not want this game to be a shootout; hopefully Pittman back, but this is a game that we must put at least 28 or 26
 
If I was a reporter and Porter was available after the game yesterday, I would’ve asked him for his thoughts on the loss and whether he could’ve helped the team… had he been healthy, of course.

It would be both with only one small factor, ther agent has to speak guarded truth as daddy would have him fired.

The agent is probably giving better advice than the daddy, probably laying it out as it is and the dad is saying we just need to be patient, they will come around……

Watched the entire game yesterday, unless JPJ bulked up to 330lbs and became a star O lineman, I doubt his play yesterday would have affected the outcome at all.

He is now a side show to the real main event.

How do we get a respectable O Line?

Is Munchak still available as a coach?

Probably both. Kinda presumptuous to ask for a bigger contract when you're not playing due to "injury".

That’s the catch 22 the Porter player has gotten into, in order to justify the BIG he as to play to show it……. Meaning his injury has healed.
