As my laughs continue to echo in my home, I do shake my head. While so many cant stand the coaching staff, front office we have from time to time,...and sometimes, many times rightfully so.....we could be worse much much worse.
A team at the bottom, the bottom for so long. How do you expect change when you can't have a solid foundation at the front office/HC positions. They are a joke.

Obnoxiously optimistic and fervently pro organization as I may be, this here is the point I'm always trying to make. I remember Kordell and 6-10. We're nowhere near that kind of hopeless squad and cats should be enjoying the ride. It's a great time to be us. We're the ONLY 6 time world champs and we're in the playoffs routinely.

A decision like Maziel will haunt a team for 5 or 6 years. They are a complete debacle. I don't even know why anyone would even want that job. You might as well stay an assistant till you can get a job with half a chance.

The thing is I don't think it's been a coaching problem in a while. they just can't get the right people in the front office. Sadly I am old enough to remember when the Browns were a team to be concerned about, those Kosar teams weren't always bad.
When will Petite get another HC oportunit now? Whoever takes that job has a very minimal chance of getting even the modest success required for the job.It is one of only 32 available.....I would take it.

I think we were fortunate that modell decided to move them when he did. He had Belichick in place as HC and the team looked promising. They just quit playing when the move to Baltimore was announced and they canned Belichick at the end of the season.
Meh if they would have stayed, Belicheck would have been eaten by a lake trout and they would have drafted Lawerence Phillips and Jermain Stephens instead of Ogden and Ray Ray.... the City isn't allowed to win
No QB. No running back no receivers and a few pieces on defense. Your top two lineman want out. Tired of it. You have s tin of cash on the cap I'd imagine but you can only get retreds and mercenary players playing for cash cause no one thinks they could win there. Good luck to whoever takes that job on.
It would be seriously a catch 22 if you are in that office for the interview. This is your dream you are trying to realize, but deep down you know that if you get this job, statistically you are signing a death warrant for that dream. After Marty Ball left ten coaches have had that job and one (Belichek) ever head coached again. Plus you know the Indy and Giants jobs are the plums and you are the sloppy thirds.
They should go after Chip Kelly. The teams needs gutted and re-tooled and he would do that. If they give him a few years to Phillyfied the team from top to bottom, who knows what can happen. It would be a name with some potential. May be better than another coordinator and ex-coach re-tread they keep striking out on. Talk about the Black Hole, though. I wouldn't wish that job on any sane human.
