Schefter reporting Steelers are now listening to trade offers for Bell (jets maybe)

Bell would bring us a late 3rd round comp pick no more no less. That's what the lost premier FAs give you. In no way would I give Bell for a 2nd or 3rd. Whoever would want him signs him partly because they believe a partial season with that team would help grease the wheels for a signing next year. Bells value is more than ten games but increasing your chances at the top FA this coming off season. That's worth a first. Besides anything less and you are sending a bad message to future playersthey can win. They got a god damn third for Bryant for God's sake. A first or nothing. This team is still better with him and regardless of the D we still have a SB offense. A 2nd isn't enough

He still goes to a few places that I know of. And yeah he is still the same.

"And you're still the same
I caught up with you yesterday
Bitching game to game
No sane person standing in your way
Turning on the crazy
Long enough to get you by
You're still the same"

Yeah, good ol' Crash is good for a laugh or two.

I remember posting a pic of my penis, or maybe it was my stash, and crashing the site. Something about insufficient SAN space. Don't know what year it was, but I was just entering puberty.

With all things factored in....I would say we aren't a better team with Bell. At this point I would imagine the TEAM would rather ride with Connor and company from here on out.

Back in the late 1990's to early 2000's my main point was Kordell has to go! The board was divided. I really liked this Quarterback from Purdue University in the draft. His nane was Drew Brees, taken by the Saints with the 1st pick in the 2nd round.

I also felt that Rooney was cheap back then, as we'd lose players to free agency. Dan Rooney didn't want to pay for O'Donnell, who went to the Jets for a 5 year $25 million contract. I believe with Neil and maybe a better WR or TE, we could have one back to the super bowl again. Instead we had to suffer through Tomzack-Stewart-Milller-Graham...awful QB's These guys were not even good enough game managers to take a stacked team around them to the super bowl again.

Wait, wasn't Brees drafted by San Diego?

Don't be brain washed by the talking heads as they conveniently forget to talk about how BELL was offered a GREAT deal both years by the Rooneys. BELL is no exception as he is the ONE who turned it down.

SAlute the nation

I don't disagree with you. Le'Veon has a few things working against him on his request to get paid big guaranteed dollars. First his age, RBs don/t last long in this league. You aren't going to guarantee record dollars to an RB going into his 30s.

Second, he has a history of knee injuries. Same as above, you don't guarantee that kind of money for a player with injury history at that position.

Lastly, the drug strikes. Next strike for Le'Veon could be a year suspension. We saw how this played out with Martavis. Now Bell has tested clean the last few years but its a risk that isn't worth the reward.

If Le'Veon was the same age as Gurley I would be in favor of paying him what he was asking, but not now.

**** pft...won't click a link to that site

Former Steelers outside linebacker James Harrison has the perfect solution to Bell’s predicament: Sign the franchise tag before the deadline to get an accrued season, show up to work with the Steelers, but fake an injury to prevent himself from playing in any games.

“I think the play for Le’Veon, if I’m Le’Veon, is I’m coming back — what is it, November 13? — and I’m gonna go in there, I’m gonna get my credit for the season I need to get, and I’m gonna do the best I can to get out of that season healthy. And, for me, I’d give you everything in practice, you would see — the cameras would see — that I am fine, I am healthy. But come Saturday, ‘Something ain’t right, I can’t play on Sunday.’ Because if I go out here and I mess something up I’m losing a lot of money,” Harrison said on FS1.

Meh I came over with the Trib cutting their messageboard off... i used to dabble on lots of messageboards but ive cut it back to one per sport or hobby these days... This is the lucky football site that gets my bitchy insights from time to time... lol... and occasionally my hard earned cash...

Yeah that guy isn't bitter. **** him.

You are correct. My bad. It was Crash, not Coach

if memory serves, and I'm not foncusing Breeze being drafted by the Dolphins, then cut and courted by the Chargers, before signing a vet min with the Saints ... Coach's first incarnation here was something along the lines of "Noll" and his location was "prowling the sidelines"

it was so god-awful that blackngoldballs would tear into Cooch and rip his taint apart while ***-raping him. verbally. calm down, lefties.

Wait, wasn't Brees drafted by San Diego?

Yes, and I was for using our first round pick to get him. Brees was drafted in the SECOND round. I confused the Chargers with the Saints, as when I think of Brees I think of the team he won the super bowl with, but my point stands. The Kordell years were a waste. We should have moved on much sooner and if we drafted Brees would have likely reached the super bowl sooner.

Yeah, OK. Sorry, you don't forget who drafted a player you wanted that badly. And, as I noted, we took Casey Hampton instead.

Brees was drafted in 2001 I believe. Was Not well still here at that point?

Just looked. He was here to 2002. While we could have taken Brees I will stick with Hampton and then Ben in 2004. I know we won a few SBs with those guys.

Yep Brees has been to 1, won 1. Ben to three, won two.

Plus Brees was short, and carried a risk. Most of those midget QBs don't make it for one reason or another.

Harrison can go **** himself. And not just because he offered that advice to **** the Steelers. Lost all respect for him.
