The trib board had "Crash" correct?
He still goes to a few places that I know of. And yeah he is still the same.
Bell would bring us a late 3rd round comp pick no more no less. That's what the lost premier FAs give you. In no way would I give Bell for a 2nd or 3rd. Whoever would want him signs him partly because they believe a partial season with that team would help grease the wheels for a signing next year. Bells value is more than ten games but increasing your chances at the top FA this coming off season. That's worth a first. Besides anything less and you are sending a bad message to future playersthey can win. They got a god damn third for Bryant for God's sake. A first or nothing. This team is still better with him and regardless of the D we still have a SB offense. A 2nd isn't enough
Back in the late 1990's to early 2000's my main point was Kordell has to go! The board was divided. I really liked this Quarterback from Purdue University in the draft. His nane was Drew Brees, taken by the Saints with the 1st pick in the 2nd round.
I also felt that Rooney was cheap back then, as we'd lose players to free agency. Dan Rooney didn't want to pay for O'Donnell, who went to the Jets for a 5 year $25 million contract. I believe with Neil and maybe a better WR or TE, we could have one back to the super bowl again. Instead we had to suffer through Tomzack-Stewart-Milller-Graham...awful QB's These guys were not even good enough game managers to take a stacked team around them to the super bowl again.
Wait, wasn't Brees drafted by San Diego?

Don't be brain washed by the talking heads as they conveniently forget to talk about how BELL was offered a GREAT deal both years by the Rooneys. BELL is no exception as he is the ONE who turned it down.

Yikes, way to go full Terry Bradshaw towards Pittsburgh there Harrison
**** pft...won't click a link to that site
Former Steelers outside linebacker James Harrison has the perfect solution to Bell’s predicament: Sign the franchise tag before the deadline to get an accrued season, show up to work with the Steelers, but fake an injury to prevent himself from playing in any games.
“I think the play for Le’Veon, if I’m Le’Veon, is I’m coming back — what is it, November 13? — and I’m gonna go in there, I’m gonna get my credit for the season I need to get, and I’m gonna do the best I can to get out of that season healthy. And, for me, I’d give you everything in practice, you would see — the cameras would see — that I am fine, I am healthy. But come Saturday, ‘Something ain’t right, I can’t play on Sunday.’ Because if I go out here and I mess something up I’m losing a lot of money,” Harrison said on FS1.
You are correct. My bad. It was Crash, not Coach
Wait, wasn't Brees drafted by San Diego?
Yes, and I was for using our first round pick to get him. Brees was drafted in the SECOND round. I confused the Chargers with the Saints, as when I think of Brees I think of the team he won the super bowl with, but my point stands. The Kordell years were a waste. We should have moved on much sooner and if we drafted Brees would have likely reached the super bowl sooner.

Brees was drafted in 2001 I believe. Was Not well still here at that point?
Just looked. He was here to 2002. While we could have taken Brees I will stick with Hampton and then Ben in 2004. I know we won a few SBs with those guys.
