The Coronavirus thread

Similar to Trumptards posting memes about Romney being named Ambassador to Wuhan?

Not all the same. Failed attempt at equivalence.

The "sending of Romney to Wuhan" was a meme, as you have said, created by some idiot on the internet. An idiot with no following per se. One who doesn't have a voice. Who doesn't have constituents that follow him/her. The meme was also about one person. That meme isn't going to lead to Romney being sent to Wuhan. It's not even possible.

On the other hand, this is a Councilwoman in Denver, with a following. 3,649 followers, another 2,664 following on Twitter alone. Her voice is given a platform via social media, the local and national press. People listen to this woman. She is a leader in the community and has somewhat of a national following.

I can't make Romney go to Wuhan, nor can you or any citizen. But I can be one of her followers, hate Trump, contract Corona, and think her idea is brilliant and do just what she suggests - innocently show up at rallies and shake my snotty hand with every political opponent I can find.

She literally suggested those infected weaponize themselves.

This is a moment for you to condemn such heinous actions, regardless her political affiliation.

The fact that you would attempt to use whataboutism (woefully and miserably) only speaks to your own character.

Not quite man, a joke versus a very possible threat of intentional spread of a disease to a large group of people? One is funny the other based on the potential that it could actually happen and be a real call to do it make them dissimilar. You are an asshat.

Oh, STFU! So intentionally contracting corona virus and then attending MAGA rallies would be an effective, albeit potentially suicidal, way to attack people? Talk about hysteria.

Similar to when Trump suggested 2nd Ammendment supporters could take care of Hillary? Or offers to pay the legal expenses of anyone who assaults a protester at one of his rallies?

Looks like i got my shelter food shopping done just in time

Only one cashier working at the commissary, other morning shift out sick

Course most the women work there are oriental or Asian

Yes, all the shelves were fully stocked, no shortages of TP, yes, i washed my hands when i got home

actually not the same at all. One person vs 10s of Thousands and using a government account to spread bullshit like that....

Uhhh, no, not even remotely in the same universe. Let's compare:

  • The first is an elected official saying she would intentionally spread a serious illness to a large number of civilians based on who they vote for, a comment that definitely acts as a target on Trump voters and something that could in fact be done by nutjobs on the left, threatening the safety of Americans.
  • The other is a joke by private citizens about sending one guy, Romney, as an ambassador to a place that does not have ambassadors, Wuhan, China, risking nobody.

The fact that you conflate the two does NOT speak well of your observational abilities here, Trog.

Once again, equivalence fails. Instead of condemning this council woman's remarks, you appear to support them.

Trump on the legal fees:

"If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously, OK? Just knock the hell ... I promise you I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise," he said on Feb. 1, 2016.

While I don't condone his choice and phrasing of words, he is telling his supporters to defend themselves. By that point, there had been countless physical assaults on Trump supporters by the Left. I have no problem with him advocating defending themselves. This is still nothing like the council woman suggesting Corona virus carriers inflict illness and cause DEATH.

“If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the second amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know. But I’ll tell you what, that will be a horrible day.”

Not a fan of his rhetoric here and I condemn it IF this was a veiled threat. There's several ways to interpret this (and you'll say no there is not). Regardless, you're comparing an apple to an orange here. This would be better compared to Snoop Dog killing a Trump effigy or Kathy Griffin artistically severing his head or the innumerable calls for Trump's death.

It's not equivalent to an elected official calling for the mass infection of people by weaponizing themselves as bio weapons.

You can still condemn it. You won't.

We pointed and laughed at you libtards who were all up in arms and clutching your pearls over it.

FFS, Tim.

I’ll condemn it as a tasteless comment. As a legitimate way to threaten someone? That’s ******* absurd! Think about it. These people would first have to imperil themselves, and for what? A 2% chance of killing someone else? Honestly, the **** you get worked up over...

You have hit the nail on the head. Just like Antifa, which hits an unarmed, non-violent reporter Andy Ngo in the face with a cement-filled water bottle and causes brain injury.

But that ******* deserved it because ... something. Conservative, I think.

I've seen videos of elderly people using their face to try and injure the fists of those antifa patriots.

I think I remember someone equating those Antifa patriots to the boys storming the beaches of Normandy.

Powerful stuff.

Please explain to me how someone with Corona virus imperils themselves by attending a rally?

We still have a sitting Democrat advocating the weaponizing of humans as bio weapons against their political foes. En masse.

Add this to all of the other violence they preach. It grows daily. Shooting Congressmen. Running politicians off of streets. Attacking their homes. Harassing pols in public. Repetitive, never ending beatings of Trump supporters. The violence grows, as do the calls for violence by our political leaders.

You can be like....

You really are not doing yourself any favors here, Trog. First, she did NOT say her plan was to purposely contract the virus to spread it. She said IF she unfortunately found herself suffering the virus, she would willfully spread it to Trump voters.

Second, she relayed that comment to a lot of other people, a number of whom almost certainly may wind up with some illness (flu, corona, whatever) unintentionally, and think it a great idea to spread to Trump voters intentionally.

Get it???

Please explain to me how someone with Corona virus imperils themselves by attending a rally?

LOL!!! Are you so worked up that you really missed the forest for trees that badly?

Hint: it’s not attending a rally that imperils them.

I submit that being unable to read is a dangerous but curable malady. You may want to look into treatment.

Because carrying the Corona virus is bad enough, attending a Trump rally just worsens the situation by damaging their mental acumen.

It's a known fact, based on available empirical evidence, attending Trump rallies seriously imperils rational thought, leading to a steep drop in IQ levels. They are working on a cure around the clock, but as of now, it seems there is no vaccine for severe Trumpism. Thus millions remain affected and their condition seems to be deteriorating over time.

So it'd be a double whammy for that individual.

If you believe that a person can call for riots and other acts of violence by stating that a certain segment of people should act a certain way, then you have absolutely zero ice to stand on when an elected official states that she'll infect others for political gain.

why's this? the mass hysteria is signaling to others that the coronavirus is deadly. get it, you'll die. there's no cure. 100% dead. no way around it. it's extremely communicable and if you get it, others around you may also get it quickly and easily.

yet Dims also say you can prevent all this by washing your hands. the hypocrisy is deafening.

so the elected Dim uses the mass hysteria to suggest to her twitter followers that if they contract the coronavirus to spread it to the other side of the political aisle, as quickly and efficiently as they can.

that A-N-Y-O-N-E defends this trash ******* statement not only suggests, but underlines the fact that they, too, are trash.

I at least chuckled at this one.
