so older people - those with already slower metabolisms and most likely more comorbidities - have died more from this. which is parallel to what we've been saying here for a few weeks. what you need to look at is why and how the rona got into nursing homes. were the workers there not taking more precautions? were supplies unavailable? what, specifically, caused such a spike in deaths in the nursing homes?

LOL. Your own post says Sweden's overall death rate is lower than Belgium, Spain Italy, the UK and France. It's only the highest this week which means absolutely nothing except that they got infected later than other countries did.

Unfortunately it is a sentiment I have heard from many on the far left in recent years and in essence it is what is happening with the behavior of colleges who punish non conformity and restrict free speech and thoughts on campus in favor of rigid political correctness and group think. With one who just graduated last year and one going into his junior year of college(by the skin of his teeth) I have seen and heard much of this crap. I don't like these rigid fundamentalist ideas from anyone who can't at least listen to the other side or try and see where the common ground is.

I don't mind off color jokes but context does matter and it did not come across as a joke to me.

Certain Democrats do want to turn us into a Communist State or damn close to it, likewise some Republicans go to far in pushing the religious angle and want to go to far the other way. Seemingly right now thought the far left side of the Democrats is holding far more sway than the fundamentalist right has on the Republicans. Trump for his religious bluster courting the religious right, is not a really a far right fundamentalist and is really more of a moderate overall.

Why do you think many Governors on the left have gone so far off the rails towards socialist and communist like rules during this that have have no factual or logical basis in fighting this disease. Have not the the most far left in your Party become some the most well known and largest money generators? • ******* nobody mayors ordering private businesses to shut down.
• Nobody, worthless governors ordering private businesses to shut down.
• Governors banning public protests.
• Governors favoring some businesses over others.
• Governors punishing private citizens for exercising Constitutionally-protected rights.
