Me and the wife got the wuhan flu. I just have sniffles for the last couple days so she got nervous...rightly so. She woke up this morning with full-blown covid...headache, body aches, shortness of breath...everything.
So we get her tested at the hospital where she works...just got the call. +
This ******* sucks. She hasn't worked in 2 months because she got injured at work and had to get back surgery. I just get back to work and drag this crap into my house and get my wife sick. ************.

Hope you feel well soon. A lady from therapy tested positive she had no symptoms, but had to quarantine. Her husband who works at a hospital had to quarantine with her and now he has to do his own quarantine. So he went get back to work till after Thanksgiving.

Sorry guru, hang in there. My wife is going through it right now. She is in day 3 after her diagnosis and is starting to look better today. The headache and body aches are gone....still doesn't have taste or smell back and has some regular cold symptoms. Hopefully you guys bounce back quickly.

Guru, I'm so sorry to hear that my friend. Is she getting shortness of breath from cough and respiratory distress, or stress associated with having something inside her body she's never had before?
Have her take loads of vitamin C (powder that's soluble in water preferred), at least 5000 IU of good vitamin D and zinc. Maybe let that kick in for 2 days and see where she's at. You likely have these bases covered. Tell her she's not even close to being alone and that she has an extended Steelers family pulling for her. If she's relatively healthy, she'll beat this no problem. Being down for 2 months has likely worn down her immune system but it's still there and will know what to do.

Have 2 cousins and an aunt who've got it as well. This is prime cold/flu season also. Hot soups, lots of water/rest and vitamins on the menu for the foreseeable future.

Regarding the loss of taste and smell- that happens to me every year. When the seasons change, my sinuses start killing me. I get a horrible sinus headache, and I can’t taste or smell stuff. That only lasts about 2-3’days, then once all the sinus pressure goes away and starts draining, I’m fine. All the symptoms of Covid are stuff I get anyway, so how do I know what’s up? I know they say a loss of taste and smell is a big one and that’s usually the kicker to get someone tested.

That's the same with me, other than the loss of taste and smell. For a good 5 months out of every year, I have terrible sinus congestion, sinus drainage, sore throat, which makes me feel like ****, especially this time of year, so like you say, I probably wouldn't know it if I had it. People will ask me if I have any of the Covid symptoms and I am like, "Uhh yeah, since the beginning of September."

I’m not made of unlimited funds either, so I can’t test every single time I have a sniffle. I also can’t take time off work for every single symptom as well. So what do I do? Self isolate or go on with life? I’m dead serious as now that our HS is remote and probably will be until January....I won’t be around a lot of people but I also need to continue with my life. I am a healthy person with a good immune system, so I know my body. But being around the paranoia for a few months has me second guessing everything.
I’m not saying Covid isn’t real or that it doesn’t suck. But legit- I think everyone has had it or will have it and it’s been a THING for years...just not talked about. For everyone who has it now and has had it recently- do you feel any worse than you do with the flu? I’ve only had the flu once in my life and the worst part about it for me was the body aches for 2 days. I never puked or had a fever. Just achy.

No different than Global Warming. They wanted to use it for a Great Economic Reset as well, a redistribution of wealth. Are we surprised they want the same as a result of COVID? We are not.
