Hubs is starting to feel kinda icky. Started on Sunday. He’s been puking non stop. With him being a type 1 diabetic, it’s bad because he has to regulate his sugars. Anyway...he called about getting a free Covid test at the health clinics in town- the wait is over a week. If he wants to pay 150 bucks out of pocket, he could go to CVS...but those aren’t the rapid result tests. So at this point, it’s a why bother??

Puking and diarrhea are 2 symptoms, according to the chart we have to follow at school. PINK EYE is a symptom according to that chart. So even though I don’t think he has it, he wants to be sure for his own mental health. We joke that eventually the ability to wake up will be a symptom and is test-worthy.
Pretty scary stuff, eh? Would you trust that guy to watch your house over the weekend? I wouldn't but they trusted him to watch over their country.

The rapid tests are highly inaccurate. My step-daughter is a nurse manager at a hospital near Ahoskie and the results from the rapid tests do a lot of false positives and negatives when matched to the more accurate pcr test. Quite a few nurses in the area have stated the same.
True. I'm dating a nurse. She did a rapid test a few days ago on my nephew that read negative. He got swabbed the next day and tested positive.
Yeah my 80 year old uncle got a rapid test a few months ago and it came back positive. He was hospitalized over night as a precaution and discharged the next day- felt fine after that. His only symptom was that he was dizzy. He fell in the shower and hit his head and that’s why my aunt called 911. He was given the test in the ambulance. By the time he got to the hospital he was “positive.” He rarely went out and when he did, he wore a mask. My aunt never tested positive even after he did, so I’m sure he had a false positive result. I don’t trust those tests at all.

lets say you are tested 4 times like Elon Musk with 2 positives and 2 negatives. Logic would state that when reported, you should count as a net 0 cases because +2 - 2 =0. And even if the final test showed that he was in fact positive, he should only count as 1 case. Anybody want to bet that Elon Musk counts as 2 more cases on the reports?
how about these athletes who are tested multiple times. Say a guy tests positive 4 times over a week or so before finally testing negative. He should be 1 case. Anybody want to bet he’s counted as 4 cases?

I'm fine...taking a couple more days off from work just because.
Wife is feeling better, we're just worried about infection in her recent back surgery...so far so good.

I heard somebody I know in the medical field yesterday say that Covid tests are somewhere around 60% accurate, maybe a little higher. If that is true they aren't much better predictors than your average weather person.
Psst! Hey, let me tell you a secret. The other illnesses didn't go away because of the Covid. They can make you sick too.

To bring back my phantom post. Why are Dems so eager to stop Thanksgiving?
Think about what the 2 most important things are to them right now. Projecting that a huge majority voted Biden and that the election was completely fair and honest and only a few internet kooks think otherwise.
They can’t have you at a large family gathering and finding out that not only did a half or more of your family, including Dems, vote Trump. But also that a majority think the election was either completely rigged or at least very fishy and needs to be investigated.
This is the key. They have you sold that only some tin foil hat nuts think there was anything at all wrong. They can’t have that illusion broken when you find out that you are not alone in liking Trump or thinking the election had some level of fraud involved. That’s the real reason why they want to stop Thanksgiving gatherings, because they can’t have you outside their influence for that long.

Think you been watching too many movies man.....First of all if your family is coming over for thanksgiving chances are you talk to them already so they probably know where you stand. Second anyone who wants to have thanksgiving with their family is going to have it regardless. If you believe in the rigged election and "fake" virus then you sure as hell are not going to listen to mandates to not have thanksgiving with relatives. Personally I think its BS that people are not supposed to spend time with families and I bet the majority of people who normally do are going to continue to do so no matter which side of the politics you are on. I also thought COVID was going to go away after the election which is certainly not the case. As for the rigged elections I am tired of hearing about all this proof and nothing is coming out. Someone posted a vid of a lady saying she has hundreds of thousands of people making statements and evidence was coming so fast it was like out of a fire hose, but she has shown nothing to back it up. Time to **** or get off the pot.
Maybe, but it's more than that. The Dems with their willing accomplices in the media have also gotten A Charlie Brown Christmas and Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer taken off TV this year. Can't have that Jesus talk and uplifting messages about doing for yourself without the government. Another nail in America's coffin.
