I have pointed out the vaccine isn't appearing to be as effective as your MSM has touted it to be. "It's 100% effective and safe." Yeah, not so much. Is it working to degrees? Of course. Is it what they purported it to be? Nope. Ask the Texas Democrats, or the White House staffers that have come down with COVID.

Second, if you could read and subsequently comprehend....which you have established for years over and over and over and over and over you are incapable of....I credited the vaccine + 3 other components. Not the vaccine alone. "Natural Immunity" - that bogey man word your side shuns...more effective treatments and a less deadly variant.

I even put it in big bold and red letters so you might focus. Of course you wouldn't.

544 pages in The Coronavirus thread, 71 pages here in the Covid Vaccine thread, and all we have is the same lies told over and over by Tim, Steeltime and the rest of the peanut gallery.

The reality is this pandemic has always been and will continue to be as serious as Fauci, the media, the CDC, health & medical experts and yes, folks like Trog & I have been stating from the very beginning. Particularly true for what is currently happening with the Delta variant, here and around the world.

But the yahoos and self-described *pandemic experts* on this site will continue whitewashing, downplaying, mocking, sugarcoating... as that is all their limited intellect & understanding allows for.

Lesson learned. Be real ******* careful when reading posts on this board. There is so much disinformation & right wing propanda being disseminated here, you could fill the Grand Canyon with it.

“We are on an exponential curve,” said Mark Williams, dean of the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. “The delta variant is a different animal than the wild [original] variant. It is far more infectious and far more virulent.”

Williams expects the case rate among unvaccinated people to push higher than the winter surge. “I don’t see at the minute how we can avoid it,” he said.

Like deaths, hospitalizations from covid-19 are almost entirely limited to unvaccinated patients. When current hospital utilization is spread across only the unvaccinated population, Nevada, Missouri, Arkansas and Florida have rates between double and triple the adjusted national rate.

“Ninety-eight percent of hospitalized individuals with covid in Arkansas are unvaccinated,” Williams said.

Even though treatments are better than they were originally, a larger share of patients are ending up in intensive care, and the fatality rate for those patients remains high, experts said.

“That’s just indicative of the more virulent quality of the delta variant,” Williams said. “It will make people sick, even people that are young and would not have felt any consequence from the original wild variant.”

Frighteningly, he said, far more children are being hospitalized, which was very rare until recently. As of mid-July, a dozen children were in Arkansas Children’s Hospital, he said, and two were on ventilators.

Look at what's happening *right now* in these States, relative to the peaks from earlier. We're heading right back to where we were, with a much more virulent & dangerous strain. Still don't want to wear masks, still don't want to get the vaccine?

I'm not going to argue much of your post because I agree that the situation is getting worse. One thing I did want to point out in the part that I quoted above.

Have you noticed that initially, it was reported that 98% of new CASES were unvaccinated people? When so-called breakthrough cases started to rise, the narrative has changed to hospitalizations. This is where at least a portion of the lack of trust comes from. COVID has and continues to be framed in the worst possible terms. People notice little changes like the one I pointed out, and it makes them more skeptical because they feel like they aren't getting the full truth. Just like at first it, was deaths, deaths, deaths, as soon as death started going down, it became cases. It's an ever shifting goal post.

The government and the media have to take some responsibility here. They are sowing as much distrust as any misinformation on facebook or anywhere else. Bludgeoning people with shifting targets and then trying to shame them hasn't worked. Might want to try something new like, you know, just being honest for once.

Seems to me with this Delta variant, doesn't much matter whether you are vaccinated, unvaccinated or have natural immunity, you are just as likely to catch the Delta Variant. I guess the only question is how sick are you going to get or how well your body or immunity is going to handle it.

Yes, Sarge, the vaccine isn't a guarantee you won't catch it. But the data shows it will highly likely keep you out of the hospital and could very well save your life if you do contract it.

99% of hospitalized Covid patients are unvaccinated. That paints a pretty clear picture how the vaccine can mitigitate and lessen the symptoms.

The authorities throughout this pandemic should have made it clear that since this is a new virus that there was going to be a level of uncertainty with any advice.
The only certain thing for Americans was that once the vaccines were available, the more Americans that get vaccinated, the more protected all Americans would be.
Some Americans have stepped up and got vaccinated in the best interest of their Country and some Americans have stepped down, refusing to do anything in the interest of their Country.

The Greatest generation of Americans who stepped up and defeated Hitler in the best interest of their Country and the World has been replaced by the Lamest generation.
If America ever wants to be Great again, we need to start raising our children to be selfless and to act with backbone and integrity.

I'm proud to soon be a part of the vaccinated, as soon as my Novavax vaccine gets here.

Meanwhile the rest of my family is protected...and it appears now...far better than those vaccinated, per NBC. Vaccinated individuals are contracting COVID and carrying HIGHER LEVELS OF THE VIRUS than previously known.

Seems a lot of people stepped up to get vaccinated to become SUPER SPREADERS?

How deep in **** is the media and the government going to be if the vaccinated end up being documented as the primary spreaders? God almighty.

It is NOVEL virus, first appearing in 2019.

That is why the US government spent hundreds of thousands of dollars, then lied about that spending, on "research" on coronaviruses,in the unsafe institution in the same city where this NOVEL coronavirus came from.

Has anyone asked why Duke University stopped its joint virus program with Wuhan in 2015?

None of that is true with the Delta Variant. Vaccinated people are getting sick, hospitalized and dying at a much higher rate than previous variants.
