Covid Vaccine

50% increase in deaths. Right, from 2 to 3. Literally, 2 to 3, go check for yourself. Someone just claimed that you can’t reach any conclusions until you have something called “by person studies”. I wonder why they’d make of this?

You...YOU yourself...have demanded that the only meaningful compare is to use cases/deaths per 100K. When you used to bang that South Dakota drum, you hammered on cases per 100K.

Now, when it destroys your position, you revert back to absolute numbers.

You can't argue with an ideologue.

/Floggy - small states and populations don't count! LOOK at Florida!

Also /Floggy - South Dakota sucks, deaths per 100K are the worst ever!

Ah thems some old memories. I normally can't recollect that far.... but I think it's Freddie.

Do you not see the sheer stupidity in comparing Florida to New York, for instance? Of course you don't.

You and the NY Slime assume that EVERYONE in Florida is RED and everyone in New York is BLUE, then make a broad brush comparison between the two on politics.

51.2% in Florida voted for Trump.
47.9% in Florida voted for ShitsHisPants
10.97M votes were cast
21.48M people live in Florida

Of the 10.51M who did NOT vote, how many of them are RED or BLUE? Until just a month ago, there were MORE registered Dems in FL than Republicans.

How does the Slime, or you, know who has been vaxed and who hasn't been in Florida? The closest anyone gets is down to county level data.

Still not granular enough to make any substantial findings.

When people go to the hospital with Covid, they ask - vaxed or not. If they asked political affiliation, then we would have some idea. Now, they are guessing and it's about as unscientific as you can get.
Did you see the graph in the Seattle Times article? It very clearly shows a strong correlation between large Trump vote share and higher percentage of unvaccinated. To what do you attribute the very strong correlation? Chance? Why the anti-science? You’ve probably received medical treatment based on studies that produced weaker correlations.

Yes I looked through that trash as well. You're confusing their "findings" with science. It's not.

The SEA article cherry picked regions to create a case. Look again cheap *** free loader.

Oh Vermont. Floggy not gonna like this.

Why does Vermont have more Covid cases than Florida

FL Population: 21.5Million
VT Population: 628K

Problematic question for Vaccine worshipers…

Steeltime's favorite nation still rolling strong, having adopted the correct approach to all of this.

And throwing this one in for fun. Truth.

Our founding fathers were prophetic men.

50% increase in deaths is NOT a death rate, Tim. Your 50% increase SPIN does anything but destroy my position. Case in point:

Vermont’s deaths are DOWN 50% today back to 2, TWO. Their current death RATE is .31 which is BELOW SOUTH DAKOTA’s .45.

Vermont’s all-time death rate is 59, South Dakota’s is 256, almost 5X that of Vermont’s.

Talk about arguing with an ideologue!

I love going through data like this. Exposing it the way it should be exposed v the propaganda way they present it.

Remember, we have all been told and continue to be told that the vaccines are/were going to be 90%, 92%, 95% effective.

Let's look at some of their data. First, cases.
  1. Why leave out January? 9% of their population was vaccinated in January. Oh wait, because the numbers would change. If they include January data, the % of cases among the vaccinated would increase.
  2. Notice, they are only showing data for those 12+. You have said kids are driving the virus now. Why not show the kids? Oh wait...because they are unvaccinated and it would make these numbers worse.
  3. Based on this selective data (dates omitted, age groups omitted), the vaccines are still only 78.8% effective against spread. Worse if you include all age groups and January.
Weren't we told that breakthrough infections are rare?

Now let's look at deaths, this one is my favorite. Remember the vaccines are 90%, 92%, 95% effective, especially at preventing serious illness/deaths.

  1. Why did they stop counting deaths on Sep 28? They showed case data up to and including Oct 19. 3 weeks of data are missing.
  2. Where's January?
  3. Nearly 1/4 of all WA deaths are among the vaxed.

Epic. So in summary, in the state of WA, one of the leading states in vaccinations:
21% of their cases are vaxed people
23% of their deaths are vaxed people

I wouldn't make campaign posters with this data if I was trying to sell the effectiveness of the vaccines

The gift that keeps on giving, Floggy's link to WA state Covid data. They issued a new report on November 3.

Comparing the prior data with the new data is interesting, is it not?

DEATHS: 200 new deaths are reported
  • 51 Fully Vaxed Deaths
  • 7 Partially Vaxed Deaths
  • 142 Unvaccinated
29% of Washington States deaths in this period were vaccinated.

CASES
: 15,249 cases reported
  • 10,317 unvaxed cases
  • 4,932 vaxed cases
32.3% of Washington State cases for this week are vaccinated.

And remember, Washington State has more deaths in 2021 than in 2020.

You may try re-reading my post, I didn't say death rate.

You can't remember your position from page to page. Vermont destroys your position. Everything about Vermont...destroys your position.

The most vaccinated state in the USA - experiencing more daily cases than Florida, despite FL being 35x larger; VT experiencing ALL TIME highs in cases:

Yer wrong as always. Vermont's current death rate is 0.37 to SD's 0.42.

Vermont’s all-time death rate is 59, South Dakota’s is 256, almost 5X that of Vermont’s.

You're again, wrong. Vermont's all time is 62.

SD is way behind VT in vaccination, so we expect these differences, am I right? The vaccines prevent death, cases, and make people happy and wealthy right? Sure looks like Vermont is working hard to catch up? Despite being 71.7% vaxed, they are crushing FL in cases and steadily watching their deaths rise.

Remember, the deaths follow cases and VT is reporting 314 cases a day (up from 8 a day in July).

It almost as if the tens of thousands of Florida Covid deaths in the past three months never happened… if you’re an ideologue. Enjoy your consolation prize!

And remember, Washington State has more deaths in 2021 than in 2020.
So the unvaccinated are only 36% of the population, but are a very disproportionate 71% of the Covid deaths. Sucks for the unvaccinated, like 12X as bad.

Point?

No, no, no!

I expect “these differences”. I understand the efficacy of the vaccines and accept science and facts. You seemingly think “these differences” are pure chance and coincidence.

Vermont’s a cold weather state, it’s November, they will have Covid cases, they won’t have many deaths thanks to the vaccines.

FTFY. And what happened to the cold & flu? Covid so mighty it wiped out those viral strains?

After probably a thousand plus posts just regurgitating the same tired **** from their overlords, it essentially comes down to this for the brainiacs Fibs and Flogged:

let me ask you something. and respond in complete honesty, if you can.

backstory:
I went to visit relatives in New Jersey. We took a day trip to Philadelphia. Specifically to Reading Terminal Market. Ever been there? It's pretty ******* amazing. If you haven't, it's like an indoor flea market of food, candy, desserts, alcohol, and restaurants. There's delis, lots of places to eat at, lots of places selling beer and wine, liquor is sold...

to enter you must wear a mask. required. no way around it. as you go through the place, you're literally brushing shoulders or elbows or sides as you weave through the maze of people. place is packed. from what I understand, it's always like that. picture a fairgrounds setting during a busy time. that's what this is. And there are people sitting down at tables eating. the walkways are so tight that you literally have to turn sideways to go around people.

the people sitting down are not masked. even if they're not eating or drinking.

yet the people all around them are masked.

oh, and you can imagine that it's loud in there. so people will pull down masks to order from a retailer. masks pulled down, then back up. sometimes not pulled right back up. sometimes forgotten to pull back up.

does this make even one iota of sense to enforce masks?

Apparently Socialism does indeed work if you have willing participants at least in this example.
