Time to try the trade

Really....come on ....really?

You really think that will propel this team back to the championship game in the next year or two?

lol without Ben this ****** team doesn't even make the playoffs.

sorry too many ****** personnel decisions

number one culprit

This team has missed the playoffs with Ben . Bell was hands down the most important factor on this team this year. Without him they don't make the playoffs

Yeah, let's trade Roetlisberger and accelerate the Steelers' transition to becoming the ******* Raiders with dipshit and dumbass, aka Tombert, running things.

Roethlisberger isn't perfect, but seriously, people, did you watch the Cardinals and the "quarterback" they were forced to field today?

Yeah, I saw the Arizona game. The difference is the Cardinals were playing with their fourth-stringer, on the road as nearly touchdown underdogs...not at home with their "franchise quarterback" as a field goal favorite. The similarity is they both lost by double-digits and are out of the playoffs in the first round.

I cant believe peoples reaction when they lose. Its unbelievable. They won the division in the midst of rebuilding a team.
This team is loaded with young talent, and yes they have whiffed on some picks but damn who hasn't?
They will be back in it next year and with a better defense.
Look at the way this offense is starting to come together?
They cant win it every year.
When you build a team that goes to 3 super bowls in 5 or 6 years at some point you have to start over..

Lets cut Blount and not bring in a viable replacement! FAIL
Lets keep OBVIOUS declining players ! FAIL
Lets let go two experienced WRs go and bring in one that clearly was done - FAIL
Lets overpay for a mediocre pass rusher - FAIL
Let us not bring in a solid corner or draft one early - FAIL
Lets let a ineffective Polamalu back on the field when Allen played well - FAIL
Let's bring back Adams when he was obviously hot garbage -FAIL
Lets give contract extensions to two mediocre players -FAIL

again whoever has the final say between Tomlin and Colbert need to be shown the door............... simple

This team is not loaded with talent, we have a fdw great players, many average players and a ton of bums. Couple that with a poor head coach and we are in trouble. We played the easiest schedule in the league, next year we get raped by the NFC West.

Hmmm, Brady, Rogers, Romo, Manning, Flacco, Wilson, at some point in the playoffs most these guys will hit a roadblock like Ben did tonight and come up short. Poor running game or whatever. Should they be traded too?

Who would we replace Ben with? A rookie, Brian Hoyer? Who? it's a big gamble to even talk about trading Ben. There's a lot of emotions going on now, but this is borderline suicidal if you don't have a full proof, viable plan.

Well, could look at it 2 ways. We could give Ben another 100 million contract to keep him another 6 or 7 years, or we could cut our losses and have the Cardinals entire draft picks thrown at us for Ben. But of course the team isn't no where close to being in that position to have that happen. Ben's going to be staying.

I agree with every point you make, but not relevant to the topic at hand.

This is madness and hopefully just the result of postgame emotions. The gameplan was shaky. The defense treated third and long like a plague. But, no, lets trade the QB. Its sad, really.

such a dumb thread, our ****** defense had 1 sack on Flacco and they punted what, one time?and that was with 2 mins left in the game, Ben played pretty well considering the threat of no running game, and getting hit every play. AB just missed getting his feet down by 6 inches for a TD, another TD got called back on a penalty, AB's knee hit at the half yard mark to take a td pass away, if Bryant would high point the ball that would've been another TD pass.

Ben didn't play great, but he is way down the blame list.

Yep didnt take long for the idiot fake fans to come out the woodwork. Bens the best QB we have ever had, coming off his best year ever, breaking team and league records and still in his prime. Anyone who thinks we should get rid of him should go follow another team. Go **** yourselves trolls.

Ben is great at worthless yards but still is mediocre at reading defenses and throwing in the red zone, he is not elite.

Did Cowher go 6-10 or 7-9 with a franchise QB? Did Cowher go 5 years between playoff wins like the dumb ************ Tomlin has ?

He thought he did, he thought it was Stewart after he tore through the league the year before.

Ben is not the best QB we have ever had, all QBs today are shattering passing records in todays pass friendly NFL, Ben has not won a playoff game in 5 years and has 3 straight playoff losses, he comes up small in the playoffs, look at his mediocre playoff stats.

whatever dude, AB didn't get his feet down, another TD got called back, AB a half yard short on another, he shoudlve easily had 4TD's, not to mention Bryant not going up for the ball in the endzone.
Ben is way better than Bradshaw.

You do realize, Ben more playoff wins than Steve Young, Dan Marino, Johnny Unitas, Joe Theismann, Kurt Warner, Bart Starr....in fact he's 10th overall in number of playoff wins in NFL history...all time...yeah, he sure does suck at winning playoff games. I wish we could get rid of him and maybe get Johnny Football or someone...oh that's right, I forgot we can just trade him for Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, because there's lots of guys like that just sitting around waiting to get picked up...

The little fantasy world some of you live in cracks me up.

Yeah, let's trade Ben and watch Bell, Brown, and Bryant waste their formative years playing with a rookie QB (cue Alan Faneca in 3... 2...)

Everyone is taking this thread as a rag on Ben, he sucks thread. THAT IS NOT THE CASE.

I agree with everyone that you need a Franchise QB in the New NFL Fantasy FB League. I am not advocating trading Ben because I believe he sucks, far from it. I am saying that due to the poor DRAFTING by those who make the decisions, we need MANY players.

How many of you are old enough to remember when Dallas traded Herschel Walker? The same things were being said of trading a quality RB of his level, how did it work out for them? Can the "Brain Trust" that is the Pittsburgh Steelers pull off the same rebuild? I do not think so, but that is a different discussion all together.

Next year is Ben's last year under the current contract, do you really think his Salary Cap number becomes less painful going forward? What does that same cap number prevent the team from doing personnel wise going forward? We have MANY holes in need of repair, not counting backups for everyone.

Yeah, Ben was just tied tonight in playoff wins by Flacco who also has one less loss.

You can play the what if game all you want, how about the bomb for a TD Flacco had if Smith gets his 2nd foot in ?

Ben has been bad to average in all 3 of his Super Bowls while the greatest Steeler QB ever had a 100+ QB rating in all 4 of his SB wins and is the only QB to ever throw a 4th quarter TD pass in all 4 games. Bradshaw was great on the biggest stage every time, Ben has never been great or the best QB in any of the 3 Super Bowls his defense carried him to.

no, the steelers never make big splashes in free agency, when is the last time they made a big money free agency signing? Even without signing Ben, they wouldn't use that money in free agency anyways. Ben resigning could reduce his cap hit the next couple seasons.
You trade ben, you're wasting one of the best RB's(who is only in his second season) and the best all around WR in the NFL.
