Time to try the trade

I bet you would trade you house for $24 worth of shiny beads.

I did that one ******* time, and it was supes fault for giving me so much damn fire water. You guys just can't let anything go.

I would trade Dri Archer for Fu and a six.

I stopped reading this stupid *** thread a few pages back, so someone may have touched on this, but since we are talking about trading Ben (our best player) for draft picks which the same people have no confidence in Tomlin / Colbert to find good players with, how about these:

a). Let's trade LeVeon Bell and get a Hershel walker type deal so Tomlin / Colbert can turn this franchise into a dynasty.

b). Let's trade Antonio Brown and get a Hershel walker type deal so Tomlin / Colbert can turn this franchise into a dynasty.

Really, come on. Without Ben, we go NOWHERE. We'd be 6-10.

Not that I agree with everything in this thread, but your analogy is quite ridiculous. lol

Brown, the NFL's #1 WR, is under contract for 3 years at $8mm.
Bell, the NFL's #2 RB, is under contract for 2 years at ~900k.

Ben will be in the $17-20mm area for at least 5 years.

I think you just missed his point.

Nope, I got it.

You don't trade one of your stars (a known) simply for picks (an unknown). I generally agree with this believe when discussing players in their primes.

But that is a silly exercise when you are not considering the impact of a player's salary. Brown's contract, per his output, is certainly a bargain. Bell is outright a STEAL for what we have to pay have. That was my point on how the two situations are very different.

How many other QB's in the NFL are making 17-20 million?
