It was reported a week or so ago that one of the primary tools used to track and ultimately arrest. The alleged Moscow Idaho killer were cell tower pings on his phone.
Immediately Democrats from all over the country voiced their disbelief in the idea that cell tower pings could track anyone. They had aggressively argued against the premise posited in the 1,000 Mules documentary, wherein cell tower pings identified the routes of several people muling ballots back and forth to ballot drop boxes.
Consequently, the narrative changed. No longer were the cell tower pings one of the primary pieces of information used to identify and arrest the suspect. Rather, the cell tower pings were largely useless as they didn't truly make the suspect stand out. (That's the latest position of the mainstream media).
It will be interesting to see if the cell tower pings play any part in a future trial. Because we know from the opponents of 1000 mules that this technology is completely fraudulent and cannot possibly be used to secure a conviction.
