I heard rumors Vegas will take him, then trade him to a team he wants

Wilbon is a Crosby and Penguins hater. I believe I saw a stat that indicated it was the first time the Penguins ever played in a playoff game and didn't have a PP.

Also, should we start an offseason thread for the NHL for the Fleury talk? Kinda a killjoy in here to already start discussing the restructuring of next year's team.

Why wouldn't the Pens trade him to a team he wants beforehand? As long as they make a goalie available to Vegas they are all set.

Just reading the scuttlebutt, anything is still possible

Penguins’ Fleury reportedly agrees to waive no-movement clause ahead of Vegas expansion draft

Marc-Andre Fleury raised his third Stanley Cup as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday night. It could very well be the last time we see the veteran goaltender on the ice in a Penguins uniform.

On Monday, it was revealed that Fleury accepted the Penguins’ request to waive his no-movement clause for the upcoming Vegas Golden Knights expansion draft, and he did so way back in February.

(Putting in the request months ago saved the Penguins from having to approach their longest-tenured player with an awkward conversation mere hours after winning the Stanley Cup. The deadline for teams to ask a player to waive his no-movement clause 5 PM on Monday.)

Agreeing to waive means that Fleury will be exposed and the Golden Knights will have the opportunity to draft the 32-year-old netminder for their roster later this month.

However, it doesn’t necessarily guarantee that Fleury will be in a Golden Knights uniform next season.

If he is selected by Vegas, the team could potentially use him as a trade chip this summer. The Penguins could also still trade Fleury to another team if he approves the destination.

Just re-watched the cup ceremony. Damn! So ******* happy for Hainsey.
MAF with the handoff to Murray. Just a lot of great memories to reflect on.

Starting to sink in that our boys are back to back. I was already prepping for Wednesday lol.

Now the hockey withdrawal comes. What a great season and playoffs....hell what a great 2 seasons. The improbable becomes probable. Damn rope a dope saved the best for last. I haven't enjoyed sports this much in a long time. So on edge nail biting stuff..then bam.. jubilant victory just like that.

For real, it's been fun smacking them around on some of the hockey fb pages and whatnot. "There should be an * next to the Pens Cup." "I'd be embarrassed to claim that Cup." Too easy! What a bunch of whiny pansies that are hockey fans now. They call Pens fans bandwagoners. LOL!! So ironic.

I can see how they would be upset over the disallowed goal. It was an unfortunate human error. It happens, but mistakes happen all of the time. I also think that the refs bent over backwards to try to even things up with their imbalanced penalty calling. This is NHL hockey. Get used to it.

Anyway. No time to argue this anymore. I have a parade I have to prepare for.

You know what's better than winning two Stanley cups in a row? Winning three in a row........wish I could be in Pittsburgh for the parade.

What's funny is, all these pictures and video's of the guys celebrating in the locker room. and not one single guy had a pair of goggles on when the champagne was a spraying. but look at those ***** NBA Champions and they all had them on. Sid got nailed in the face when he brought the Cup in.
