2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

I couldn't handle a three-peat. What am I talking about? Oh, Hell I wouldn't. That would be one sweet cherry on top of the best sundae ever.

I am very interested how Rutherford forms this team for the 2017-18 season with the moves that are about to happen. With the expansion draft, players possibly retiring, UFA, etc. The core will be intact, but a lot of the moving pieces, role players could be on the move. It's an exciting time to be a Penguin fan.

Hey what happened in the Pens game last night? I was watching the Tony Awards.

Eh, nothing much. The Pens drank champagne, lifted a silver trophy over their heads and hugged each other a lot. Other than that, same old, same old.

btw, what did Tony win?

**** you Ovechkin!!!!!!!!!!

I do not know if it was mentioned, but Ron Hainsey, in his first ever playoff season has more SCF goals than Alex Ovechkin, and more Cups than Ovechkin as well.

Basketball football and baseball are ***** sports

Nick Bonino played with broken leg in Game 2

Bonino blocked a shot in the first period, broke his leg completely and then managed to play the last two periods as well. He could not play in the remainder of the series

"A little bit crazy, yeah," Bonino admitted. "The tibia was cracked all the way through. I think people assumed when I tried it, it was getting better, but it was getting worse. I just wanted to see if there was one chance to do it, we would try. Put a lot of medicine into it and wasn't able to push off like I wanted to."

That's a hockey player!

Damn! Just like Rutherford said last night. If we only knew the injuries guys were playing through on this team in the playoffs......

I am pretty sure that Ovechkin is tied with Murray and Fleury for SCF goals, and has two less Cups than both.

Bittersweet win in stankfish's house.

Between the tarded catfish throws and the you suck chants.

It was icing on the cake with back to back championships.

Oh what a rush.

It's about to get crazy with the trades and expansion, we're going to need a new thread

Who gives a flying #$%& what they say. Apparently Nashville didn't commit any penalties tonight either. Enjoy it!! :)

Yeah no kidding they gave the catfish every chance to blow this game open. Including a 5-3 powerplay. Doesn't matter the catfish would have gotten crushed in Pittsburgh on proper ice for a game. That horseshit they did to aid them backfired. Better luck next year catfish.

The Pens are situated to win ever more cups over the next few years. Good, young players to go along with some aging vets that are still at the top of their games. The Pens should be heavy favorites to repeat again next year and barring injuries, they could definitely make it a three-peat.

I have been watching. Not really a hockey guy or a Pens fan, but they were a compelling team.

Championship parade will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am and will end at Point State Park.

Fleury just waived his no movement clause, for the expansion draft only. I wonder if Flower spoke to someone this morning.

I don't normally watch ESPN, but put on PTI to get their take. Wilbon was saying that Pens win isn't legitimate because of the disallowed goal, should have been reviewed, blah blah. Called Crosby a whiner, the Pens are all whiners.

Whether or not a person thinks the whistle was quick, it was called correctly. The Ref lost sight of the puck and blew the whistle. I think the whistle shouldn't have been blown, but the ref lost sight of it. So he has to blow the whistle. People acting like it was some conspiracy to help the Pens win, while over looking the fact that a team that had taken 4.4 penalties a game in the first 5 games, suddenly played a clean hockey game. Right.

I've never been able to get into hockey. Started watching during the Caps series and kind of got hooked. My 16 year old daughter started watching some too.
About 3 weeks ago, we decided to do our dad daughter annual trip to see Sunday's Bucs game and visit the Pitt campus. Booked blindly though Hotwire and got the Cambria Suites beside PPG Arena. Noticed that possible game 6 would be on the road when we are in town and knew they sometimes did an outdoor viewing.
As luck would have it, it all came together and we were able to be in the arena last night for the clincher.
Great experience...my daughter wants to know when we are going to a Pens game next season.

Fleury was asked to waive his clause in February. He waved it only for Vegas. So long Flower! You have been a great Penguin and we would not have won this cup without you! Good luck in Vegas as they would be fools not to take you.

There is no conspiracy.

Kinda funny how this series has gone from a team that was being abused and went by the "just play" mentality. All of a sudden the team has enough and retaliates in return and it's not so fun for the other fans to see.

Same with officiating. The game is really fast. **** happens.
Was it a bad call? Sure. I thought it was a good goal. But to say that was the deciding factor? No
If any the 5 on 3 PP, and the penalties sending the Pens to the box was indication that the league was trying for a game 7.

This years team battled all season to be where they are.
Not gonna let a bunch of salty fans ruin the win. If only these whiners see the abuse Crosby endures throughout the course of the season.

Lol. I love it even more.

That is a great story. Seriously cool. God bless you and your girl. My youngest son/child moved out Friday. I cried like a baby.

I listen to the NHL network on Sirius/XM a lot. Many of them were guessing that Flower won't be picked up by Vegas. He's too old.

Let's hope they're right!
