2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

Why did they pull MAF with six minutes left in the first, just before our PP?

You can pull the goalie to put in an extra skater. Once Colorado gets possession of the puck, Pens go on the 2 min 5 on 4 PP
 
Aves are looking good and have had some opportunities for breakaways. McKinnon is giving our guys a run for their money
 
Colorado's arguement---Geno slashed the goalie
Pittsburgh's arguement---Goalie still had a chance to play/Colorado D man fell on goalie

50/50 call. I think good goal

Thoughts:
Avs matched the Pens speed good, especially bullying against the boards. Kinda miss Iginla. The guy could've been something special if he was a Pen. McKinnon brought it and had his way in Colorado's offensive zone. So kudos to the opponent for a good game

For our boys. Like Colorado, some of our guys took over in offensive zone. Malkin, HBK, and to an extent Sheary. Although Sheary has been tripping over his feet lately. He is still someone I am starting to like more and more. I think Crosby/Hornqvist will bring out his A game
-Maatta is just too slow for this system, and I'll probably be complaining about him all season lol. Other than that I think the Pens got outplayed. Colorado had lot of opportunity for breakaways. Which I expect with our D men coming up into offense. Still got a point though

Gave that one away last night. Geno, just a lazy penalty at the end. And WTF was he thinking slashing the goalie? I don't see how he is worth the money.
 
3 of 4 goals MAF let in were Soft as hell. especially the losing one.

The team was still in position to win the game. Bad passes all night and a few turnovers. MAF will be alright. I give him a go tonight. Condon would probably be exposed by his former team
 
is it a requirement to lodge yer head up yer *** to cross the border now?

Rough stretch of hockey these past few days. I think the cup hangover is taking effect

Thoughts:
-Malkin is penalty central
-on top of that penalty after penalty
-Gave up a SH goal
-I thought Montreal's 3rd goal was bs...but it is what is
- 2-1-1 without Crosby isn't bad. But I don't think Malkin handles the spotlight too well at the moment
-Still waaaay to early to *****/complain/pant/cry and slur vulgar threats at the tv or wanting to chuck a beer bottle across the room

The Penguins look like a mess right now. I hope they can snap out of it soon. Penalties are killing them.

Soon. Practicing with the team. BTW, Flower has been playing well. Not much help in front of him.
 
Flower kept if from being MUCH worse than 4-0 last night...

Man they need Crosby back and really need to stop these stupid senseless penalties.

I think the team as a whole will play much better when he is back in the lineup.
 
I would try to get something for Malkin right now. Not much help to end the season last year and he looks lazy as **** now.
