I think thats game. The guys need to get healthy fast. Letang, Streits, Sheary and Rust should all be difference makers. I did like Wilsons line though. Those kids are gonna be awesome
Crosby, Cullen, Kessel line is another one that looks to be special

Well that sucked. oh well next.
The team is making adjustments on defense thats why the "feel" isn't there yet imo. Bringing in Hainsey and Streits should fix whatever woes this team has. Maatta and Daley are constantly hurt and do not play like they used to, which is my theory to these defensive signings. The Pens are doing what they can with a patchwork defense. Dumo pairs well with just about anybody. Cole and Shultz compliment each other well. Pouliot and Ruwehdal are WBS guys in essence. And can scrape by a week or two. But nothing for a playoff haul. I think the Pens will be ok. The offensive potential is there

Pens played pretty well. Had good pressure. Both teams played great. Sometimes hockey all you need is luck. The 3rd goal on MAF was a lucky bounce in to the net
Fleury panics. I do agree. Pens will still take anybody in a 7 game series. Sullivan doesnt have all his pieces due to injury. They will pull through. If the not, it just wasnt meant to be. The pressure is on the Caps to win right now. Less attention on our guys is a good thing

While I get the Pens aren't lighting it up right now, and this is in no way directed at any one person on here, but I'm wondering...why the panic or the expectation for an early exit from the post season? It wasn't until a brilliant March last year that people started really entertaining fantasies of a lengthy run for the Cup and even then, there was cautious optimism.
I guess I'm always too homerly optimistic and glass half full but it seems to me there's legitimate reason to anxiously anticipate the post season. Top five in the league after 3/4s of the season of taking everybody's best shot at the defending champs. This while battling injuries for significant parts of the season. Get Rust, Sheary, Tanger, et al back and the rest of the month to tweak the lines, why can't they make a run at being the first back to back in nearly 20 years?
I'm more of a rah rah than an x's and o's, admittedly. I also subscribe to the philosophy of intangibles such as post season experience and having been battle tested and drawing confidence from that. Living in Caps territory, though they're seemingly feeling pretty good about themselves at the moment, I think we reestablished getting in their head last season. Doubt and anxiety, at least from the fans perspective, will definitely creep back in if we're fated to meet again. Not altogether unlike how we feel about the Patriots, I suppose.
Anyway, yes there's still work to do, but I'm not dreading the opportunity.

No Brian Boyle to piss me off. Pens may get hot again. Boyle is solid and frickin huge. Would've loved to see him as a Pen
Budaj is pretty good. He played well against the Pens earlier in the season. Sorry to say Ark, but I hope Tampa's goalie gets torched tonight
