You know there used to be a little piece of me that wanted to see Ovechkin get a cup. Maybe still is, but the last few years I cant help but notice the huge difference between his play and Crosby's. Crosby is on a completely different level now. Half the time Ovie floats around in the zone waiting for his teammates to do the dirty work and pass him the puck so he can shoot it. Is he injured or something? He was hardly on the ice last night it seemed.

I guess I shouldn't complain about the Caps underachieving and failing to show up every year in the playoffs. That is always good for the Pens.

Judas Priest. The Pens look disinterested. Not motivated. They are running into each other and tripping over each other and they just do not know what to do with the BJ's pressure. Sad to watch so far.
 
1st Period. Elimination game. Home crowd. Have to expect the bj's to bring it.
There are still 2 periods to play. Pens will adjust. Not worried. Cannot be intimidated by the hits. Cbj will exert too much energy
 
Sheary is starting to Piss me off. He is doing **** he shouldn't be doing. Trying to make passes between his legs in his own zone, blind back hand passes to no one. Guentzel on the other hand is making simple plays, getting open, taking shots when they are there. Sheary is trying to do too much. Just play. Simple plays. He is making a simple game hard and it is hurting his team.

I don't think they are intimidated by the hits. I just think the pressure from the fore check has them messed up, almost like they weren't ready for it. Causing a lot of mistakes. The good news is, the Pens problems seem to be mostly self inflicted at this point. Gotta rebound.

Maata is looking shakey, too. His shots are welcome but seem predictable.
 
Agreed Sarge, Pens will get it fixed. Even if the Pens lose. The game goes back to Pitt. No pressure
 
What's the record for most icing calls in the playoffs?
 
Well the pens are down 3-0 20- 6 shots now. Looks like the pens are taking the game off this evening...all la De da De da.
