Read where Mike Lange had/has pneumonia but is back home. He will be on the radio for a few minutes tomorrow during the first intermission. Hope he gets well soon. Listening to the game isn't close to being the same without him.
I don't know about that. There have been a few times they have looked pretty damn good. In 16 when they won the first cup there were times when they completely overwhelmed teams and sometimes even toyed with them at the end of games. We maybe have not seen that this year but I can remember a few times they opened up a can of whoop *** on the Caps and even the Lightning.
They can be a cup contender if they put it all together and play complete games with 100 percent effort. WAY too much talent on this team to say they don't have a chance.

Everything I have read is that the news media is calling it a strange move, considering both Murray and DeSmith are healthy, and WBS is not officially eliminated from playoff contention. Doesn't make much sense and the Pens haven't said anything.
Also, looking at the schedule, I see the Pens are playing at noon on Sunday. Pretty ****** for their first home playoff game this year. Hope they win both on Long Island, because they have been horrible in early start games.

I was surprised by this as well. Basically throwing in the towel on the WBS playoff hope, not it really mattered. I'm hoping there is not an injury to Murray that we haven't heard about.

They both practiced yesterday. Is there maybe something about the timing? Like maybe if they call him up now instead after the start of the playoffs, they can call up an extra skater later? Not sure how any of that stuff works, just trying to understand the move.
