Great team win tonight. Got a little interesting there until Lafferty buried the empty netter to put the Pens back up by 3. Murray also earned his 100th win.

The Kids definitely played more than alright tonight. Great to see their speed and grit in what was a tough chippy game.

The goals they scored near the end were all from way downtown and through a lot of traffic. Need to make sure it doesn't become a habit but they seemed like pretty low percentage shots that just found their way in the goal. Pens did get a couple beneficial calls that easily could have made it a much closer game.

That said, the energy they are playing with now is light years beyond what they were showing the first few games. Reminds me of that spark they had during the stretch run last year when there were a lot of injuries and the kids came up. Once the playoffs came, the regulars were back in and their play was listless. They just seem to play better without Malkin in my opinion, unless Sid is out and he then ups his game to another level.

Malkin had a down year last year. Let's see if he can turn it around. the listless stuff is real. These WBS kids really look alive. Let's hope it stays that way. That game was fast. Tonight's game will be a good indicator of who they are.

Great win tonight. Was tough keeping an eye on it while watching the Steelers. Great to see breakaways heading towards their goalie for a change. Jarry looks like he's up to the challenge of giving Murray an occasional break.
