2019-20 Penguins and NHL Offseason

I keep reading that the Pens are looking to move Jarry. Maybe they should look at moving Murray. I know the guy has won two cups, but he has been inconsistent at best since then. Maybe it is because he knows he is the man, nobody there to push him. I don't know, but that dude gives up some head scratchers for sure.

I don't want to give up on Murray but I think we have a decent sample size. He is good but not great. He probably ranks between 10 and 15 as far as stats go. I keep hoping for more but I'm not sure it is there.

As an RFA he is going to want somewhere around $7.5M. Jarry looks awesome in a small sample this year. After some attitude adjustments DeSmith has been rock solid in WBS (2 shut touts and a 1 goal game in the last 3 starts).

You've got to believe in the DeSmith/Jarry tandem. I only believe in half and I'm not sure which half. The piece that would tilt the cart for me is what the offer for Murray would be ?

Ol 29er was giving Galchenyuk loads of well deserved grief on the radio last night. Sounds like he is done with him.

Chucky is a major disappointment. He has the skillset to score 30 goals. Great hands, quick release and has some accuracy. The thing is he has not produced 30 since 15/16. Except for a short window. He sucked in Arizona. I admit I liked the trade. I hoped he could be everything that the pedigree of a 3rd overall could be.

Just a heads up. Tickets for tonight are CHEAP. I can't go, so if you're in the area. It will be a great game.

Murray is sucking ***. I never thought I'd miss MAF this much.

Yea, I'm down on him as well. He isn't playing consistently. Some games he looks like a real NHL goalie. Some game he looks like a college goalie. Sometimes it's simple stuff like not holding tight to the post. I don't have any answers but I don't think we will win another cup with Murray in the pipes.

Trotman is the future. Dude gets the game.

WE HAVE A VERY EXCITING GROUP OF YOUNG GUYS!!!!!!!

UB you knew they'd win tonight, right? ;)

i knew they would score more than 3 and with the new and improved Jarry that is enough, If he keeps this level of play. The Pens are going to have a decision to make. Expect a major winning streak because we can't go to the next few.

Trotman played a solid game. I really like what he brought. Add in Marino, this kid is for real. Kahun and that back hand. This team doesn't quit !

I could only listen to a few minutes and that's when they scored the 2ND goal. Sounded like Malkin had a good assist. Also during that brief time, Phil had high praise for both Trotman and again Marino. He's really high on his skills and hockey IQ.

Looking at that NJ line-up, I expected them to be better. They sure give the Pens a fit, but the boys played a solid game. I would give Jarry some games until he falters. Let MM watch for a few games. I'm not down on Murray, but not blown away from his rollercoaster play.

Right now, sitting here in my recliner I would trade Murray for a Top 6 RW and a first. That maybe a little over payment. In the real world, I just can't do it. My hope is Jarry get's more work. He keeps pushing Murray.

I’d probably do it.
Murray had a solid team in front of him during those cup runs.
Jarry is capable of the same performance.

He also had Flower winning some of those games and knew if he didn't play well he wouldn't be playing. I don't think Murray can win a 7 game series against some of the better teams.

WWWWWOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got our money's worth tonight!!!

Elvis left the building, came back to cheer and left again!!!!!!

Another Great game by Jarry. He should keep the job until he needs a break. Murray can sit for awhile. Great job by Guentzel to score in OT. Finally starting to get some chemistry on offense. They should be good to go when Sid gets back.

Was a fun game to watch. Good to have Letang back but the kids seem to be doing pretty well on their own. Some great PKs last night.

I'm so glad we pulled that out !

You'll all be relieved to know this was my last scheduled game for a couple of weeks. Keep in mind wife and I are now 6-2-2 so far at home.

I think I heard a collective sigh of relief when Chucky scored. Finally !

Watching McCann, Kahun, Tanev Marino and Trotman play with a high level of intensity is a breath of fresh air as compared to much of last year. I didn't expect much when Trotman was called up but he is earning a spot.

I don't know if Jarry at .945% is sustainable but damn, ride the hot hand.

Malkin is quietly above a PPG. The piece that is key for me is he is a +4. He still makes some blunders but is being more responsible.

Watched him do a few behind the back Globetrotter passes and sort of cringed but they made their target.

All those guys you mentioned, UB, are playing very well. The new additions have added fire and speed. I really hope they lock up McCann. He's a quiet force on the ice and has a nose for the puck.
Jarry looked good. I'd keep riding him. It's a long season, so see what he can provide. So far so good!
I saw that Kyle Turris may be on the outs in Nashville and suggested to a co-worker that maybe they will take Chucky off our hands for Turris and BAM!, he scores. I'm pretty sure he heard me talking about him. Whatever it takes. :o)
