Murray sucks

He does. Not sure what the issue is, but he is not the same guy. Something needs to change.

All four of our guys were against the left wall, and they had two guys out in space. Great defense, guys. Then Murray does his "Oprah on ice" imitation, and they have five points.

These last two games have been the Keystone Cops.

I honestly want the guy to retire a Pen. He just doesn’t have the drive anymore to take over like the early 2010’s.

There is some talent on the squad. Guentzel is one who is still on the verge of probably being the captain when Sid leaves.
Lafferty is looking to be promising, Blueger, Blandisi, Tanev are all good role players.

Right now defense, and some of the older bodies are holding this team back. If the Pens retain Malkin.
It’s time to cut ties with guys like ZAR, Letang and Jack Johnson.

The rest of the guys can play a forecheck game. Bring in one or two enforcer type guys though, so the Pens can feel confident in playing their game. They do seem to turtle when they play a heavy team like St. Louis, Washington etc.

I'm not ready to move on from Geno. I think he still has something to offer. I don't think that he is that dominant player anymore. He needs to be coached up to his level, and quit his passing into bad situations. If he became a shooter, he might be a huge asset.

I still like JJ. He uses his body like no other Pen. I'm actually excited about our defense. With good leadership and time, we could become a D team to be aware of. I can't figure why we never seem to hold the points on the blue line when on offense. It seems that we could stay in the offensive end more if we did.

I'm worried about our forecheck. It is in shambles. That is why the PP is so lame, IMO. I wish we would skate the puck in more often, and not drop it in so much. It pains me to see an offensive move of some type, but no SOGs come of it. That is very common. I don't get it. So many talented guys. So little consistency.

The netminder issue is my most pressing concern. But, a good offense keeps the puck out of our end more.

He is a bonafide 4-5 goal gamer now....I recorded it last night because I had pretty much chalked it up as a loss after what we seen the other night, but skimmed through it and a couple of those goals were pretty pathetic. And now Dumo goes down. There you go another god for saken injury with this team....

Its just like the Steelers saga it just wears you out after awhile....

The "Jump Around" curse continues..... Dumo had successful surgery today for a severed ankle tendon. Out a minimum if 8 weeks.

They have the speed to be so damn dominant on the forecheck. Why they don’t is a mystery.

I can't figure out this team. I know injuries are a big part of it but they aren't consistent at anything. I'm convinced that we don't have a goalie that can win in the playoffs. Neither Murray or Jarry are good enough to win a cup right now. Especially when you have players turning the puck over almost like they are doing it on purpose.

Add another to the injury report. Hornqvist has a knee and will be out longer term. Pens signed and brought Noesen up from WBS.

Noesen is one of those pedigree guys. He was drafted 21st overall by Ottawa in 2011. He was touted to be a strong goal scoring power forward. He will use his body but the scoring part has never translated to the NHL. He's been solid at WBS and was scoring well. I hope he has found his game.

Well we will see which team shows up this evening vs the blues. The Pens seem to be like a box of chocolates. I'd love to see some great goaltending.

The talent on the baby Pens is underrated.
Oh and Malkin is playing aware tonight. Pretty happy with his performance so far

3-0 now. Playing really well on defense. Malkin hasn't turned the puck over and they are just playing solid hockey. Nothing fancy. Great game so far.
