Murray didn't do himself any favors tonight. I would hope we see Jarry 2 of 3 games next week.

I had a discussion today with a buddy, about the possibility of Murray being traded - kind of a "new location, new career" thing for him, and a good player or pick for us.

As an RFA looking for $7M or more. I wonder what his value would be ? Before this funk I was sure he would bring an established Top 6 wing and a #1. At this point I don't have a clue.

Yep just why I said I would have went with Jarry last night. Even though they won it didn't do anything to build any confidence for Murray.
If he would have given up the lead then it would have been a full blown disaster for him. Seen that last goal and he looked slow to react and left the 5 hole wide open.

I hope he gets going pretty soon.

Exactly. Plus he's only been sitting a week. He needs to be the #2 goalie for awhile. I don't know what's wrong with him or if that's how he plays now. Either way we aren't winning many games giving up 3-5 goals a game. It's about the team not the player.

I think at this point in his career he is what he is.
He hasn’t been right since his dad died.

I think he’s carrying emotional baggage that we don’t see

That wasn’t Jarry. That was Tanev, Marino and Ruhwedel tripping over themselves and failing to clear a puck. Three chances and they all not only whiffed, but over skated and left Tatar wide open. I would have been more surprised if he didn’t score there.

I'm hoping last night was just a bump in the road. I don't think anyone expected Jarry to continue at a .943% pace. What is troubling is the lack of secondary scoring. Some teams have figured out that if you beat the hell out of Jake. You can slow him down some. He is one tough players but still. McCann, Simon, Lafferty, ZAR and Chucky need to contribute something.

We had gone quite a few games without stupidity taking a toll. Letang's positioning, Malkin's bad penalties and a general lack of a net front presence. Just don't dig too big of a hole before Sid returns.

This season just keeps on giving, taking away is more accurate. Malkin is sick and out of the line up.

Going to be interesting but I think they will find a way.
