2019-20 Penguins and NHL Offseason

Just watched Murray's post game interview. It was sad. Dude looks undone. I hope he gets back up on the horse soon. I really think that he has more to offer. Not sure what is up, but something is up.

He has not been the same since the concussions and since his father died. I do not think he is emotionally invested and maybe suffering from depression. Cant say I blame him, but I think it will be very difficult for him to find the passion for hockey again. Seems like a nice guy hopefully he gets things sorted out in his life.

EDIT: I originally had thought his GF split up with him, but it appears he is married....

Like MAF, he may need new scenery to be rejuvenated. The team seems to play different in front of MM.

I'm not concerned with the loss, as they played very well otherwise on the trip to Western Canada considering someone does down everyday with an illness or injury. The good news is, we should be getting our captain back soon.

I had no expectation of a win last night. 2nd game of a back to back in the worst time zone, right before a long break. . What I didn't expect was a total **** show of a first period. Murray wasn't good but in all fairness he had no chance on two of the goals. The Pens scored one and most times that is a loss. That game was so out of recent Pens character, I'm dumping it from the memory back and moving on.

Rumor mills have Sid back right after break. I hope they are right.

One thing I saw which I didn't like. The recovery time for a lacerated tendon can be 5-8 months. That puts Dumo out all of the regular season. Hopefully his damage wasn't so severe but there has been no news.

Agree on all of this. I bet we are seeing the last of him in the black and gold. My best to him if he goes.

That situation would distract a husband!

What a start in Nashville!! They had to pull Pekka Reine in the first period!!

3-1 good guys

Great game so far. Letang had a puck hit off of him to give them one goal, then it almost happened again. Then he turns the puck over right in front of Jarry. Sometimes he just gets sloppy. Jarry has saved him twice tonight.

Friggin Geno. Sloppy third period. Not what we need

5-2 win. Jarry with some nice saves and a few penalty kills. These guys are playing well together.

We have a really good team. Now enter Sid

Tonight was good stuff. Forecheck and puck control was as good as I have seen it this year. Nashville has no answer for the forecheck. None. Passing was excellent and there were five different goal scorers. Something going on with this team, and it’s going to be a fun season to watch.

Love beating the catfish. One in the cooler. Hopefully tomorrow makes two.

Yup. Plus Horny, shultz, Dumouland ETC.... This team can be dangerous if they all get healthy.

At this point I don't think I would rush Sid and Horny back. Still a lot of hockey left and the team has more than proven it can hang with anyone. Better off making sure they are 100 percent than risking another injury headed down the stretch.

And hopefully Dumo and Schultz make it back too. Think last night they said they still are not skating.

I wouldn't rush anyone back right now. But it would be nice to get some back in case someone else gets hurt.

We're going to see them in Denver on January 10th. I want to see Sid and Hornqvist play.

Forget Sid and Horny. I want to see Rust and Kahun!!!!

Well good start for game two. 3-0. Two more periods. I hope Murray holds up well.

Two fast starts against Nashville. I know Nashville is in a bad way right now, but damn.

And it's 4-3 after two. I almost don't want Murray to play anymore. I have no faith in him at all.

Murray is having issues for sure. Not sure what it is, but he is driving the bus to struggle street right now.

4-4 now. Murray is done. I'd let him finish the game but his confidence is shot. Up 4-1 now tied.

Murray needs to step away from hockey for a bit.
Whatever is going on is showing. He’s not solid like his rookie season.

Another great game by the Pens. 6-4 Final. PP goal and an empty net goal.

Rusty. What else can you say.

Dude.
