another solid game from the depleted Pens. Rust is a beast! Jarry is their #1, for now. Sully is a great coach. So glad we have him locked up.

Rumor mill: the Pens are one of three teams inquiring about Ilya Kovalchuk. He is OK with signing league minimum, but with a contender. Boston and Calgary are the other two teams interested. League minimum to play with Geno? I'd try that out.

Yea that was another DAM IT GENO! moment... He averages 2 or 3 of those a game...

If he can stop trying those highlight reel passes that turn into turnovers we will be a lot better off.

Geno shouldn't have passed into the middle of the ice. Poor decision. Other than, they looked fast and solid. Another game I was expecting the worse and they handled the Oil with practically ease.

If they can get one point tonight, it's a very good road trip.

I'll take one bad Malkin give away per game. There is a difference this year. He did turn and try to catch up to the play. He is playing some of the most responsible defense that I can remember, Currently he is a +10 and has a few more takeaways than turnovers. Still averaging over a PPG with the majority of the points coming on 5x5.

I like this version of Malkin. I hate to think how good his numbers would be if the power play was rolling. If he continues to be this responsible when Sid returns, the sky is the limit.

The team is playing really well right now. Geno and Letang had some TO issues. Letang just handed the puck to a guy right in front of Jarry. Jarry stoned him. Then Letang gave the puck away on a bad pass from the left board. Again Jarry saved him. But overall they are playing well.

I feel bad for Murray but Jarry has clearly won the starting job.

Thanks for the recap. Just turned it on with about 3 minutes to go. Glad it wasn't Murray just giving up bad goals. Hopefully they'll refocus, get an early goal, then build from there.

Just watched Murray's post game interview. It was sad. Dude looks undone. I hope he gets back up on the horse soon. I really think that he has more to offer. Not sure what is up, but something is up.
