2019-20 Penguins and NHL Offseason

To me, playing Ruhwedel on the opposite side when you have Riikola, doesn't make a ton of sense. Every season Sully keeps someone in the dog house and I guess this year it's Riikola.

The power play is back to lousy, 0-11. Having a 5 on 3 for about a minute 30 and not getting one hurt. I figured with Sid back. This problem would fix itself but not yet.

Thankfully Mario only ended up with stitches. That deflection to the face was scary as hell.

Dumo should have been skating by now. Bjugs was skating but hasn't for more than a week. We need both and I'm all for not rushing them back. Please not further setbacks on these two.

You can't say enough about Malkin. He has carried this team a long way. Every criticism I had last year is gone. He transformed his game and I never believed he would do it. 56 points in 40 games, +12 is a phenomenal turn around.

The heart that this team shows, makes it so close to being special. I've got my fingers crossed that GMJR is going to make the right moves before the deadline.

Damn it !!! After all the positive reports on Marino. DK reports his cheek is broken in 3 places, requires surgery,. Damn it !!!

Can't imagine what's involved with repairing a cheekbone or how painful that has to be. Especially when trying to eat. That really sucks. He was definitely one of the bright spots of this season and contributed much into keeping the season afloat. Hope he gets better soon and there's no long term issues.

Sounds like Rusty has some sort of nagging injury.

From Steel Dino's post, if we get a little luck. He might be back in under 3 weeks. I hope so.

It was reported that Rust has been seen walking with a limp. Just yet another member of the Pens walking wounded. The season is misery.

Reading the injury reports from the Pens this season is like reading the injury reports from Omaha Beach. It's beyond ridiculous.

Letang. What a great hockey move.

Haha. I've got Mrs. Fan trained. Everytime something goes badly she says something like "Friggin' Geno!"

She rocks.

Pens did not deserve that win, but I’ll take it. Jarry was huge. They were stuck in their own end so much it was ridiculous. Guys falling down, tripping over air. Without Jarry, that game is a big fat L.

They play like another team with Crosby in. What happened to the team that really had it's **** together when he was out?

I'll take this team with all the injuries and some let downs during the games, they play aggressive at times that backfires but all and all fun to watch. Malkin plays hard this year at both ends deserves some credit as well as BOTH goalies. Turn overs kill what we think of the goaltending.

Bjugs was skating on 1/8. Hasn't skated since. You wonder what the set back was ? Dumo still not skating and he was projected to start last week. Kahun is skating but no contact yet. Now Marino had surgery today. What a damn mess.

Pens have 7 games before the trade deadline and a total of 10 for the rest of the month. Two back to backs. Brutal is the only way to describe this schedule. All I want is to hear some good news !

So who the hell is this forward(Jason Zucker) we just traded for? It seems they gave up a lot for this fella.

No ****. Galchenyuk, a 1st and a prospect. Pretty heavy price. Would rather have had Toffoli.

On the plus side, Zucker has 4 years left in his deal, and Galchenyuk is no longer wasting a roster spot.

Pens also gave up D Calen Addison. Man, Addison, and a first. That’s a lot. Galchenyuk was a throw in to make cap room.

I'm on the fence on this trade, to give up a #1 and a top D prospect seems like a lot. I thought Krieder was on their radar. I know they have liked Zucker for awhile, but thought that steep price would have been for Krieder. I guess we will see if Zucker pans out here.

Pens gave away too much in Addison.
Young promising prospect. Another head scratcher by JR.
Desperation to get rid of Galchnyuk I assume

I don't like this trade at all. Not sure what happened to JR but this trade better yield some results. That's way too much to give up.
